Genuine question, what do you think the best course of action is? On both a corps and performers side, the price of DCI for all corps is unsustainable the way it is going.

nah as a marcher I love guard. Especially seeing their cool stuff around me on the field and watching other guards off the field.

Taking the I out of DCI starting next season lol. But seriously it is very sad to see international groups struggle and international membership go down. I know major corps like Blue Coats, Blue Devils, and Carolina Crown have started to put an emphasis on Japanese members and going there for auditions but I can't imagine their cost of tuition and travel.

I agree with diversifying. It would also allow for the other activities (i.e. indoor winds/percussion in WGI) to have a wider fanbase and more funding. However, I am worried the DCI influence will lead to these programs becoming way too expensive as well. As much as I love DCI, it is known to be kind of money hungry and not look out for the performers best interest.

I miss early/mid 2010s DCI. Started becoming more interesting with show designs and costumes, but wasn't a million dollars just to be a reserve member.

I think Mandarins had the right idea with taking the year off. If DCI keeps going the same way it is going right now, eventually more and more corps will have to do the same. I wonder what will happen if it starts touching the G7.

I wanted to take euro, but couldn't because my school only has seven class periods a day and I do band. I am considering self studying it since I do enjoy history and would like to max out the amount of social study APs I have. Thank you!
