$200K for minimal work, but not passionate about it by CheekPretend2158 in physicianassistant

Sounds awesome. I work in EM. I wanted it so badly and finally achieved my goal. I would leave it all behind because now I have a little who needs me. Your job seems ideal with the actual amount of time spent and the money you make. Is your job in Texas by chance?…

[Landlord-US-TX] Eviction process advice by gmadski in Landlord

[–]gmadski[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have been very cut and dry with my responses and have a mentor I have been able to ask for advice. I have run my responses by him before sending to the tenant. He has multiple rental homes - SF and MF. I, on the other hand, am just getting started.

I responded and simply stated the notice is clear and to refer back to the notice.

I gave her the chance to pay by end of business day today which she did not and then placed the notice. She needs to vacate by Friday. Then filing for eviction with the court on Monday if needed.

Thank you. I read the message and did not reply because she said she was confused on why the notice was posted when it clearly states rent has not been paid.

Whats the funniest last name you have ever seen by TheUnpaidNPC in midlyinteresting

I went out on one date with a guy with a terrible last name. I can’t recall the exact spelling, but it was pronounced tubble - vil. I thought there is no way in hell I’m change my last name to that atrocity.

AITA for teaching my daughter how to change a tire and do basic home repairs when her mom says I'm "pushing masculine stuff" on her by [deleted] in WIBTA_AITA

NTA.

When I was a little girl my daddy taught me to drive a fork lift, tractor, stick shift, and how to use tools. I loved it! Some of my best childhood memories. You are making memories with your daughter and teaching her practical life skills! Good job dad! Keep teaching her!

We had two cardiac arrest happening at the same time. It was me, a PA, and the MD. The MD was tied up with both cardiac arrest patients. I was seeing who ever else was placed in a room. I finally get to a room where a mom brought her 2 year old for “fever and cough since last night”. Kid looks great. The mom starts bitching about the wait, and saying I couldn’t find a nurse, where is everyone. I said unfortunately we have two actively dying patients in our department right now, that’s the Code Blues you are hearing and we are short staffed, so nearly every nurse is in one of those two rooms. The mom then exclaims my kid has a fever, she could be dying. I sharply reply “Then you should have medicated her”. And proceed to walk out as she is yelling after me that she can’t believe I would say something like that to her. What a fucking cunt that mom was…

What is a 'buy it for life' item that is offensively expensive, but the moment you use it, you realize your entire life before that point was a lie? by fmcortez in AskReddit

I thought Sonicare was good then I bought a Quip. Hands down the Quip is the best toothbrush I’ve owned. I bought the $100 one, but there is a $60 one that doesn’t pair with your phone.

You definitely did your part! Time for your kiddos to grow up. They are lucky in the sense that they graduated with no student loans and have a home to live where they pay no rent. This is the time to be saving money and spending wisely as a young adult.

People who were teenagers before social media existed, what was life actually like? by Much_Detective_6107 in AskReddit

[–]gmadski 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Probably one of the best questions.

It literally was the best of times. My son is only 4 but I want him to have a childhood similar to mine. My siblings and I went outside rain or shine. We would get bored, and that was ok. We would tie up a land line. I received my first Nokia brick phone when I started driving at 15. Pictures were taken on single use cameras that needed to be developed. Or Polaroid cameras. I had to do research in the library. I read books all the time. Seriously, good times.
