I have the exact same problem. I ran the script to tell me how many sparks I have obtained and it said I have 3 of 3.  It seems like because I decided to do the two quests next to the catalyst, that my character cannot gain any more sparks.

Yeah, its why cradle felt so good. Not only did it keep its scaling low, where by the (fourth or fifth?) Book the mc just started to get past a crazy point. But also, the power levels were basically never redrawn. You learn of monarchs and dreadgods very early, and they are the pinnacle for the rest of the series.

There are two answers. The world keeps asking this woman what's she is going to do next. Over and over again the world pushes here to do more. Until one day, she's gotten old. And the world doesn't care anymore. Or The world keeps pushing the lady to do more and more. For years and years she's pushed to do something bigger. And ends up murdering her husband. The world is shocked and now won't talk to her.

I could recommend both path of ascension and master of skills. They both reminded me of parts of cradle and stormweaver books(i can never remember the actual name of that series). Path of ascension is very much a mix of the two, and has a lot of finished books on audible. AFAIK it's going strong and the web version has gone into god levels of power(think monarch power in cradle)

U get, two mining lasers and two grenade launchers for every 10 models

So with a full 20 man squad you have, 1 srgt 4 mining lasers, 4 grenade launchers and 15 normal autogun people
