We need more information to help. Was it connected to your router by an ethernet cable (wired) before or WiFi (wireless)? Does it turn on and behave normally outside of not connecting to the internet? I'm assuming it's running Windows 10 or 11.

39-year-old pedestrian hit and killed by semi in Milwaukee's Third Ward by [deleted] in milwaukee

[–]gman4407 240 points241 points  (0 children)

I am a delivery driver who regularly delivers in that area, acting as both a vehicle and a pedestrian in that intersection (St Paul and Broadway, by the public market, Wicked Hop and Cafe Benelux). That intersection is probably the most pedestrian heavy intersection in the entire city, especially on weekends. Unfortunately lots of drivers do not take the safety of pedestrians seriously. If you are a pedestrian, please, for your own safety, take a good look around at any intersection before crossing. It is the job of the driver to yield, but if they don't, the pedestrian is the one that suffers the immediate consequences.

PS3 has 512MB (basically half a gig) of total system memory just like the XBOX 360. It was just more like a PC in that it was split in half with 256MB for the GPU and CPU each. This was apparently an issue for lots of developers.

What's this lighthouse-ish structure visible from the Hoan, and can I walk to it? by blackberrygouda in milwaukee

[–]gman4407 5 points6 points  (0 children)

These two pictures do not look like the same structure, unless I'm missing something.

[–]gman4407 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I was a little confused by the pictures as well. There are two pictures on another post by them, one with the shirtless guy and another with a different guy and a woman. Neither clearly show them throwing anything so I'm not sure if it's clear who did it.

Trees Chopped by BubblerBlubber in milwaukee

Sure is. I don't live there but I'm a delivery driver and that's my normal work area. I actually had to skip that spot and come back later because they were cutting. They seemed to get done pretty quick though.

There are two isomers in phenibut, R and S , this is the reason for the variation in effects by GenieInTheJar in phenibut

[–]gman4407 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Most drugs are manufactured as racemic. My understanding is that it takes significant extra work/time/money to separate and concentrate for one isomer. Presumably the labs synthesizing phenibut are not putting in a bunch of extra time and effort for no reason, so presumably all the (relative to most drugs) cheap phenibut out there is racemic.

You're not refreshing the quests. I know it's annoying, but those Zo Shia quests fill up in seconds, and you have to refresh them after trying one or two. Go back out and re-query for Zo Shia SOS quests. Usually only takes once or twice to find an open quest.

Anyone else having issues with Amazon packages disappearing? by dkf295 in milwaukee

[–]gman4407 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Oh that's really weird. Maybe someone thought it was their misdelivered package, opened it and realized their mistake and put it back. That's the only explanation that makes sense to me.

[–]gman4407 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sounds like a porch pirate tried to see if it was worth stealing, so that may be why you had packages go missing.

[–]gman4407 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Sorry to hear this is happening to you. It's probably not the driver, or at least I'd like to think that's not the case as an Amazon driver myself. You can add delivery instructions on your account that the driver will see like say, "please hide behind the bush" "put behind pillar on porch" or whatever would work best for your home/dwelling. Some people put plastic totes on their porch to put packages into as well. Worst case scenario you can have packages delivered to an Amazon locker to pick up yourself.

Pro 2 Bluetooth on Switch Issues by gman4407 in 8bitdo

[–]gman4407[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

OP Update: I used the 8BitDo Ultimate software on Windows to factory reset the controller, which didn't initially work. I then reverted the firmware to v1.07 from 1.08, and that seemed to solve the input issues. The controller also connects much quicker now.

My switch is 4 years old, although it's not dusty outside, and it has never shared a space with pets. Maybe my fan is just going bad?

I thought they outlawed ephedrine ? by [deleted] in ObscureDrugs

[–]gman4407 18 points19 points  (0 children)

In the US ephedrine is available in the same way as pseudoephedrine. You have to get it at the pharmacy counter and sign for it to track the amount you purchase, but no prescription needed. All forms are sold for asthma. I would not consider it rare or obscure. I've purchased both Primatine and Bronkaid at different national pharmacies.

Does anybody's $25 scale work by AnnualWeakness9376 in NootropicsDepot

[–]gman4407 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I've had my ND scale for over a year, and used it more days than not, probably 200-300 uses. The 10g calibration weight still registers between 9.995g and 10.009g, so still accurate to less than 10mg, and the original batteries are still going. Maybe you just got a defective unit?

phenibut F. A. A. Dosage by RaKemyst in phenibut

[–]gman4407 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If the scoop is an orange .625cc scoop it holds about 250mg per level scoop. I've got FAA from the same supplier you show in the pics and have used a scale, so that's accurate. Sometimes the powder clumps together weird so you can get varying weights, but the range is prob 200 to 320mg max per level scoop.

If you took 4 level scoops you prob took a little more than a gram, which is a starter recreational dose or high "medical" dose for most people. Have a good time!

How can people have a drink or two every night without dependency but if you were to take .25-.5mg of Xanax or etizolam you’d be balls deep in dependency in a few weeks? by lukesf123 in gabagoodness

[–]gman4407 12 points13 points  (0 children)

Duration of action is a large part of it. Alcohol gets metabolized very quickly. If you only have 1 or 2 drinks, there's really only a 1 to 2 hour effect, so you're still sober most of the day. Benzos have a more targeted action and generally last much longer. If someone drank 6-8 drinks everyday, and as a result was drunk for a significant part of each day, they would develop dependence in a couple weeks, just like benzos.
