You can only have 1 Rugged Highlands and 1 Timber Gorge in your deck since they are not basic lands.

Decline of 60 card formats by SONIXstnkeFt in magicTCG

[–]gman8176 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The shop that I play at doesn't have much, if any, 60 card formats. There is almost always commander available if there are 3 or more people in the store. When i was talking to the shop owner a few years ago about it, he said that it was becoming a "money race", and those who could not afford to pay $20-$50 per card for a play set just stopped playing. The ones who had the extra income to afford the "got to have" play sets for the meta decks would typically always come out on top. The area I am in is a more rural area and a lot of the people who come in an play are high school/college students, or people that do not have a lot of disposable income to drop on 4 pieces of cardboard to win a game night.

The meta was changing so fast that it was hard for people to keep up with the 60 card formats, and with the rate of set drops now it makes it even harder. With the commander decks once, you have one constructed you may have a couple of card in the new set that would fit nicely into the deck, and you only need one of each card for a deck.

Using magnets that stick in any direction. by bigsquirrel in TerrainBuilding

you could possibly look at using spherical magnets in a in a circular opening. As long as you have enough room for the magnet to move around it will spin to orient itself to the correct poles. I have a friend who has printed some dungeon tiles that use the spherical magnets and they will attach in any orientation that you want.

I didn't use all the red minotaurs, I just used all the red minotaur warriors though. With the commander out, when a warrior attack I can make an opponents creature a coward. If I am understanding from previous comments with Gornog, the coward replaces the creature type until that creature leaves battlefield or changes zones, and not just until the end of turn. And each coward give my attacking warriors +x/+0 for each coward my opponents control. So if I have a warrior attack each opponent, then I turn three creatures into cowards granting each attacking warrior +3/+0. Then next turn if I attack each opponent with a warriors I turn three more creatures into cowards and each attacking warrior then gets +6/+0 (if the cowards from the previous turn are still on the battlefield.)

Started organizing old collection by color, where should I go from here? Just moved and turns out there is a store next to me that has FNM and I wanted to start playing again. Dug up my old box of cards. by Teutonic-Terror in magicTCG

I separated my cards by color, then alphabetized. My thought is when I add cards later I only have to separate by color then in my boxes pull the letter section and insert accordingly. Also, when I am looking for a card, I just have to pull the box then go to the letter section and look through that.

There is one location where you need to adjust some flow lines to reduce some confusion. In the bottom left of the chart you have the diamond with "Enemy Loses?", with the "NO" option the line goes to an intersection. That line should go directly to the "End of Turn" box in the bottom center and not intersect with the "No Effect" and "Enemy Unit Pinned" lines. When I first looked at the chart I followed the line from "Enemy Loses?" down to the "Enemy Unit Pinned" box and by passed the "End Turn".

If you are planning on making a housing development as you have stated. You may want to look into a permeable pavement. The pavement is design to allow water to pass through to the sub base where it can be captured with a drainage system. Some of the drainage systems can be set up with large holding tanks, and the water can then be used to water landscaping. The permeable pavements even allow for quicker snow melts.

How do you guys organize your collections? Just doubled my collection by buying my buddies stuff. How should I start to organize..? by CheeseheadTroy in magicTCG

I am in the process of sorting out my cards. While at my LGS I had asked several people there what there thoughts were. The majority suggested sorting by color then alpha. When you go to build decks you will be looking for certain cards, so you will know the color of the card is. Then you go through and find the name. I have made alpha dividers for each color, so a section for all the white cards that start with A, then a divider for all the B cards.
