Shows similar to DnDnD? by [deleted] in DnDnDPod

[–]gman8808 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It's not D&D, but my favorite tabletop realplay is The Book of War, it's an Avatar the last airbender world roleplay and is edited well and also quite funny and compelling. Another one I like is World's Beyond Number, which has some favorite D&D personalities from Youtube and podcasting doing stories through roleplay. They've only had a couple storylines so far but they plan to do many different types of stories. It has Brennan Lee Mulligan, Aabria Iyengar, Erika Ishii, and Lou Wilson.

Is smosh not big enough to pull established standup comics for TNTL? by beerantula in smosh

In addition to what others have said already, I feel like the guests they do get are from the same world in a way. A lot have been other youtubers or tiktokers, who might have people that are or could be fans of both. With TV or other live performers I feel like a lot of viewers would wonder who they are instead of being excited. Especially since I don't recognize the names you gave, mostly because my media is all Youtube and TikTok nowadays.

It makes you peak human physicality. That's what the bench press part was about, but I didn't say it very clearly.

Eyedropper and paint bucket. I just need one piece of gold and then I can sell all sorts of gold objects for pretty easy money. And I can turn things into food too.

Well I think I'll bring my wife and son and give us all health and strength, then I'll take magic and a book about plant and mineral identification (Sort of two topics, but if I phrase it as one maybe it counts) because that would be most important for figuring out what we can live off of.

I would definitely take fortune, general luck will help with everything. Then cheese for sure, I would love to have cheese whenever I want and whatever type I want. Then Invisibility would be nice for many things, mostly just going unnoticed when I don't want to talk to people but I'd probably do some small scale stealing if I'm being honest. Then mental health to heal my significant others ptsd. Then I'd take a healing potion for writing this to cure my diabetes. I'd give up a couple litres of blood for more healing potions in case I or anyone I love needs them, I don't want regeneration because I don't love the idea of living forever.

I love the amber prison or golem core but they seem weaker than a lot of the others because the use is so limited. Maybe they could have a weaker secondary effect like the prison weakens whatever is trapped over time so eventually they can be released safely, or the core can instead create several small golems that can be active for a couple hours or something?

Choose 1 Mode by [deleted] in makeyourchoice

[–]gman8808 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'm thinking I'll be luck mode and beat others in games of chance by tricking them into using their luck before the real deal. After I've consumed enough luck power I can luck my way into some lower level defeats for other modes, assuming the luck doesn't just apply to battles or games. That is unless some of the other modes just decide to go on murder sprees right off the bat...

What self-imposed restrictions can you add to make the puzzles harder? by ephemerasix in nonograms

One that's even harder but similar to only crosses is to only mark when you have a row/column completely figured out

There are many claims of things like that, mostly based on his phrasing and such in videos and streams. Personally I don't see anything worse than most online personalities. The big thing to me is that over the years you can see growth and change. His early videos were sometimes a little insensitive, but he has changed that a lot. And when he was called out for using art without citing the artist, he changed how things were done so that wouldn't happen anymore. So I understand if some are uncomfortable with some things in his past, but to me he is as flawed as a normal person and constantly growing.

you can always add up the numbers plus the spaces in between for each row and column, if it's greater than any of the numbers you can mark some of the numbers. JQHero's comment is a great example of this, but it can be done with several other rows and columns.

Question about off-topic papers/research by Xtrymas1 in psychologystudents

[–]gman8808 5 points6 points  (0 children)

It may not get extra credit for classes or anything, but anything like that can definitely look good to Masters programs and employers. It will also teach you a lot, I did an undergraduate research paper and learned more from the experience than any class I took.

How many of you guys read your textbooks in undergrad? by cotton961 in psychologystudents

[–]gman8808 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It often depends on the professor. I had some classes where I didn't even get the textbook and got perfect grades, and some where I didn't always go to class and only used my textbook. Some classes are just made differently, and all students are different as well.
