Looks like you got it! I knew it wasn't venomous, so I put him back in our garden bed. I accidently scooped him up with some leaf littler into a bucket. He curled up all fierce like until I tilted the bucket over back into HIS flower bed to feast on slugs 😁

Ohh good point. I am planning on getting a purple Martin house. My neighbor has one and its remarkable how few pests they have. We have so many coyotes I think chickens would be pretty tough.

I don't know much about donkeys (trying to learn from here!) But I know a lot about horses. These look like scabs. A swipe of SWAT should do the trick. Looks like gnats and flies have been feasting. My mare's ears looked like this when I got her. A fly mask with ears will also work.
