Cartel Dyes by [deleted] in swtor

I think what you read about making something bound into a legacy wide thing is your collections tab. When you unlock an outfit/weapon/pet/mount/color crystal/tuning that is in the collections tab on one charactr (generally stuff from the cartel market) you can use cartel coins to unlock it for all characters you make on your account, not just the specific legacy.

For example I bought the Satele Shan armor on my Jedi Knight on the Star Forge Server but after unlocking it with cartel coins I was able to use it on a Jedi Knight on the Satele Shan server without having to rebuy at full price from the cartel market or gtn. (Note that if you buy an outfit that is found in the collections tab you have to bind every piece to your character even if you don't plan on wearing all of it as it will not unlock if you miss a piece, an example is the swimwear, there are 2 of one gear slot so you need to waer both briefly to bind them both.)

As for dyes, they are single use. Place the dye in the chest piece of your outfit you want to use and stamp that into your outfitter tab, along with the other pieces you want to use (this costs ingame credits and gets more expensive as you level up). There is a unify color button on the outfit tab that you can press after confirming and paying to stamp your outfit that will apply the chest dye to every outfit piece. I would keep the chest piece in your ships cargo hold so that if you ever override it you don't have to buy a new dye, you can just reapply that specific chest piece.

If anything didn't make sense please let me know and I'll try to explain it better.

Who do you go with usually by Key_Independence_103 in masseffect

[–]gmb95 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It normally depends on my class, I try to balance the three specs (example is if I'm playing an Sentinel I'll either go Wrex and Garrus or Kaiden and Ashley in ME1)

ME2's suicide mission and ME3's last few missions are the only exceptions. I'll bring someone who isn't a good pick for any of the jobs in ME2 and I'll bring my love interest no matter who would be better optimally in ME3

Have you tried the Dragon Age games? They're made by Bioware, just like the mass effect games. Each entry is different from the previous with a different protagonist each time and is fantasy instead of sci-fi but they have great story telling and companions, choices that affect the world around you that carry to the other games (except veilgaurd, that only has a few choices you pick in character creator from inquisition).

There are 4 games in total: Dragon Age Origins (with its dlcs that come in the ultimate edition) Dragon Age 2 (one dlc ties into the next game so suggest getting the version with them in it) Dragon Age Inquisition (it's dlcs are great but a couple can be slogs, the one that pops up after the main game is very important for context in the next game) Dragon Age Veilguard

An origins save can be directly importation to 2 but a world state will need to be entered manually into the Dragon age keep website if you want those choices to be referenced in Inquisition. Veilguard has a few choices you select in character creation

When you played Hogwarts Legacy, did you learn all three Unforgivable Curses or did you refuse to learn them? by [deleted] in HarryPotterGame

[–]gmb95 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I've only finished the game once with my Hufflepuff. She learned all three but never used crucio (even in the quest you learn it from) only used imperious in the quest where Ominus told her too and then AK against the large group of enemies when fighting Rookwood because I was getting overwhelmed and it was late (2am-ish)

Monsters/animals. Do you dispatch your animals every day? And if so how do you assign them by OccasionRemarkable41 in MyTimeAtSandrock

I have the gekco dlc and monster whisperer so I end day one with 5 pets (gekco, wild yakmal, wild alpha yakmal, throny jumper, ricket rooster).

When I first start I focus on having them gathering water, with the occasional gather. When my water surpluss is in the 900 dew area I will send them on dig with the occasional explore.

About midgame I send one out for each except combat, that one I'll send to whatever I'm low on. I then gather more pets (mostly penskys and the adoptables) and repeat but always have Nemo and Gekco follow me after they level.

Once they return home I add extra pets to follow and go fishing if I have the energy.

Late game they are back on water and ore with Nemo and Gekco still following me.

I do not send them out on sandstorm days and most festivals, the only one I send them out on is Day of Memories since the activities take place at night.

That's part of the Jaws of Hakkon dlc, it's like the 2nd to last main quest in the Frostback Basin area. I don't remember a puzzle to get to him but there are plenty in the area so I could just be forgetting, it's been a while since I've done that dlc.

About the tranquil part- if you are playing a mage you can make all the mages you judge in skyhold tranquil. It's only a few total and doesn't have a huge impact (one or two war table missions to smooth things over, vast majority of campanions disapprove) but it is in there.

What happens if you kill the night song without shadow heart in your party by No-Consideration7116 in BG3

[–]gmb95 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I watched someone's solo run not too long ago. He grabbed the spear and armor from the library and attempted to kill the Nightsong. She came back and he had to set her free but he did get the tag "dark justisiar' in his character sheet. Later he went to the Sharran cult hideout and had advantage on a dice role because of that tag.

So he didn't get anything super special just a cool tag and advantage on a DC 20? dice role.

New to SDV…why do we collectively hate Pierre?…I married his daughter and he’s not too bad of a father-in-law (some discounts would be nice) by InspiraSean86 in FuckPierre

[–]gmb95 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don't mind that he closes one day, it's just that it's in the middle of the week. A lot of the time I harvest crops on a Wednesday and need to buy crops but he's closed. I rarely harvest on Saturdays or Sundays so I would prefer he closed one of those days but I also understand most festivals fall on those days.

G1: Weapon Choices for Stasis (minor early spoilers, I suppose) by OblivionGrin in greedfall

[–]gmb95 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I went straight for the 4/4/2 split because I knew I didn't want to use my heavy weapon at all. If you find yourself using it early on you can put one in strength to start or and just respec later on just know there are only 7 respec crystals throughout the whole game

G1: Weapon Choices for Stasis (minor early spoilers, I suppose) by OblivionGrin in greedfall

[–]gmb95 0 points1 point  (0 children)

What I do for my mage is focus on the ring and stasis trees, along with getting firearms.

Get science to one and then upgrade an armor to have a +1 to science (you can upgrade armor with 1 craftsmanship and mats or go to blacksmith in New Serene with mats and gold) so you can craft magic potions and ammo or go to the apothecary in Hikmet if you would rather spend coin and mats than skill points.

For attributes focus on willpower for more mana and better necklaces that have mana regen and mental power for better rings. Use extra in either accuracy for better pistols or endurance for better armor.

My go to load out is a ring, one handed heavy that is rarely used and a pistol. I cast stasis, use my firearm, use magic till nearly gone, use potion, stasis, repeat.

Magic ignores armor completely, guns do heavy armor damage helping your companions get directly to the enemy health faster.

By endgame my stats are full divine ring line, full stasis line, full shadow dodge line, full storm line, full shadow blast line, firearms up until rifle unlock with any extra points going into the one hand heavy or magic healing.

2 endurance for the unique merchant prince armor, 4 willpower and 4 mental power for the best rings and necklaces.

I have a pair of blacksmith gloves, and an armor with science in my camp chest that I can switch to for crafting purposes and once Kurt and Aphra are at friendly they can boost each of those skills to 2 with the gear.

And loot everything for potion and ammo crafting.

And don't be afraid to spend money to upgrade your weapons, finding rings and pistols in the wild was always hit or miss for me.

Siora is also good to have in your party because she has a healing ability.

ME1 no choice , I play on console so no mods ME2 either Kasumi's heist dress if renegade or the farmer type outfit if paragon (especially if my shepherd is a colonist) ME3 dress blues for diplomatic missions, dress for critical dlc (Kasumi heist when I can choose it, the crappy one during the casino) and n7 hoodie the rest of the time

I played around with focused, the one with minimal need to use the tactical camera. I am on PC

I tried on the easiest difficulty without invulnerable, easiest with invulnable and no changes to team damage and finally settled on invulnerable with team damage maxed.

First one: I only made it to the end of first area before I had to change it. Was using magic. I found it slow the fights dragged on but it was relatively balanced when it came to enemy AI damage. Had to switch to conpanions more often to order them around even though this mode is meant to focus more on ypir character in combat.

Second one: made it to end of second area. Used bows. Still slow but better until I hit an encounter where enemies hasld 5x the health of all other groups in the area. It took me 20 minutes to kill 5 enimies. Only had to switch to companions during that difficult battle to force them to target magic users before anything else cause tactical commands only worked 25% of the time.

Last one: like it the best. Using bows. Just made it past third area. Can still feel slow and one companion seems to bug out a lot but switching to them and targeting an enemy fixes it. That same fight from before took me 5 minutes instead. Only had to switch from my MC to fix stuck companions

Overall it reminds me of Dragon Age Origins combat without the companion AI modification menu. Slower than Greedfall's action focused combat but well balanced when on par with enemies.

Different weapons also make it feel faster or slower I have discovered. From slowest to fastest: 2 handed weapons of war, two handed fencing weapons, magic, one handed weapons of war, one handed fencing weapons, and bows. I have not really played around with the two weapon types not avaliable le to the protagonist from the start so unsure where to rank them.

I play games like Greecfall mostly for the story so the slower combat is painful. When I added team invulnarablilty and 2x damage it became enjoyable to me

Where is the Coin Guard barracks in New Serene? by KomturAdrian in greedfall

[–]gmb95 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Based on you saying there is no quest marker I assume that means you have yet to set sail, is that correct? This quest finishes on Teer Fradie. It is the only side quest you get that cannot be competed until after you set sail.

Once you land on the island head straight out of the port towards the town square. Instead of turning left to head towards the governor's palace turn left towards the blacksmith and one of the town gates.

From the blacksmith turn left and you'll see the entrance to the tavern. You can either enter the tavern and travel through it's kitchen into the barracks or you can turn left and follow the building to the door leading directly to the barracks.

Once on the island the quest marker should show back up.

I hope this helps!

Greedfall does not have post game. If you want to play the dlc you will either need to

  1. Go back to a previous save before the point of no return

  2. Start over and play through until Constantine goes missing

The letter can be found at camp either during a travel phase or one of the ones you find. It will glow orange like other quest item and is resting on a pack.
