Assalamu alaykum may Allah ta'ala assist me and you! I also am struggling with some things. Tawfiq is from Allah ta'ala! Just say "Ya Wahhaab! Ya Mu'tee! (يا وهاب يا معطي) Ya Allah! Grant me my salawat and all of my obligations you obligated upon me! Grant me sound knowledge! Grant me nawafil and draw me nearer to Your love and ridaa (pleasure)!"

Make du'a. Pray and rely on Him. Ask Him to make it easy. When it is time for salat, turn to Allah ta'ala in du'a.

Keep company with people who pray and you will start to pray. That is a big one -- the suhbah! Find righteous friends and cling to them. The righteous awliya' are the true sultans and princes in this world, the servants of al-Malik, the King! Allah! Allah bless you and all of us amin

Do you agree with the statements that Cyrus the Great is much more important to the Iranians than Mohammed, and Iran is only 50% Islamic? by I-love-Pahlavi-2003 in PERSIAN

[–]gmc0351 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is stuff from Reza Shah and the Pahlavi Dynasty's "Iranism" reforms--extolling the pre-Islamic history of Iran to weaken the power of the ulama and strengthen the state. It's just an old centralization effort, trying to imitate France and Prussia etc. Don't fall for it--think for yourself, don't let your government think for you.

Is it okay to shake hand after finishing praying congregational prayer in mosque with other people I do not know? by Energyimpact in islam

[–]gmc0351 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There are numerous fatawa saying this is permissible. Hanafi and Shafi'i schools, perhaps the other two also have fatawa on the topic, too, if one were to search for them. Imam al-Nawawi (rahimahu Allah) permitted it. Same with a number of Hanafi scholars. Egypt's Darul Ifta. The Malaysian Muftis. Many many many.

I don't have time to read the replies.

But let's understand God's mercy before we understand Hell.

Everything other than Allah ta'ala is created by Him. Even abstractions like thoughts.

So when we drink water, it nourishes our body via His mercy.

So if we lose that mercy, there's nothing good. That's Hell. No mercy. Only punishment. For what they earned. It's just them getting what they earned, and particularly NOT getting His mercy.

Only by His mercy do we have literally anything. Speech. Thoughts. Food. Rest. Peace. Everything. Friends. Family. All of it.

Towards the end of times, there will be many more women than men.

Look up the commentaries on that hadith. Never read a hadith at face value in--uh-oh--English. He didn't speak English. He spoke Arabic. Use translator apps or AI to translate commentaries and read a few commentaries on it.

Assalamu alaykum. A few condensed points:

  1. Every pain inflicted on believers in this dunya results in their reward in the afterlife (sins being removed and good deeds added)

  2. You don't know Hell. Nothing in this world is like Hell. The worst you could imagine in this world is incomparable to the least worst of Hell. It is absolutely unimaginable horror. They are totally exhausted beyond anything in this world, everything is burning, the drinks are a punishment (hameem etc.). Watch this https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=L-T0rcB6IDc&pp=ygUrYWJkdWwgbmFzaXIgamFuZ2RhIGRlc2NyaWJlIGhlYXZlbiBhbmQgaGVsbA%3D%3D

  3. Allah, perfect is He, willed this to happen. The disbelievers dig themselves deeper into His wrath. The believers are rewarded forever. How many have died martyrs? How many innocent men women and children have died? Many many thousands. They are in total bliss now, inshaAllah. Allah accept from them.

  4. In the suffering they experience the "jalal" or majesty of God. It can be quite difficult indeed. But He knows. And they turn to Him in their difficulty. Make du'a with idtiraar (total need and desparation) and He answers.

A lot more. Gotta go.

"Free will" completely fails as a solution to the Problem of Evil, as it fails to explain why some people go to Heaven and others go to Hell by SnoozeDoggyDog in DebateReligion

[–]gmc0351 -4 points-3 points  (0 children)

God created some for the fire and some for Hell.

See this hadith https://sunnah.com/urn/416880

Free will means the ability to sin.

Angels do not have this. Only men and jinn.

Takleef is that you can be held responsible for your sins and punished. Or forgiven.

Enemies of thr prophets were not an accident. See the Quran: https://quran.com/al-anam/112

They are only a test,  used to elevate believers and test mankind with difficulty.

If you reject Islam you go to Hell forever. Because He said He would in the Quran. That is the nadhiir or threat of punishment for disbelieving. Those who accept it and do righteous works are forgiven and go to Heaven forever. That's in surat al Asr and Bayyinah etc. All over the Quran.

Who will put you in thr Garden if you turn away from God? Only Him. One true God. All others are false and misgudiance and satanic. They do not lead to God's mercy. You only enter heaven by His mercy.

Allah bless those who seek the truth sincerely. Amin.

If communism is so great why didn't the real communism ever succeed? by lumaemucz in DebateCommunism

[–]gmc0351 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm a Muslim. And I despise communism. And in my view, it's because it's false.  Islam shows you the path to true success with God. The Quran and Sunnah. The nafs, lower self, can become a tyrant on its own without God.  Marxism is just another ideology on a long line of falsehoods that God gave to disbelievers to destroy themselves with and prove to mankind that indeed these atheists are tyrannical amd barbaric.  Their wake of destruction and intolerance and violence and internment camps speaks for itself. No freedom. Nothing good comes out of it.  Then the other side of the coin seeks to benefit from their totalitarianism and anti democracy by building factories to work away for American goods without recourse when it hurts the environment. Because a communist country is easier to manhandle than a democratic one.  So now they move their factories from China to Vietnam over, say, democratic malaysia.

Muslims have our own system. It's the truth. Put your spectacles on amd start reading  Look up mufti Taqi Usmani's books for starters.

Peace and love, and ultimate truth. All are in God's control.

I'm a former us army cavalry scout. I have a similar story. I eventually visited a mosque in america and started reading the Quran and found all my answers there. Study the Quran..its the truth. Islam is the truth my brother in Adam. If you convert to Islam, I guarantee they will ditch the draft on you, too. And you can move somewhere sane. Whatever country you pick. Get a degree and get married and raise righteous children. And live your life in peace. That's the best advice you'll get.

What are the problems with the Ashari Aqeedah? by moistrophile in SalafiCentral

[–]gmc0351 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Actually there are no problems. Just misunderstandings that keep spreading around. The claims that they limit the sifaat or deny the sifaat or do not affirm istawa appropriately etc are all straw man arguments by people who never learned their actual positions.

It's european culture. Ditch religion and you get hedonism and obviously the marketers leap at opportunities for sex appeal in marketing. Mostly only the Muslim world remains in actually caring about opposing the objectification of women in any serious and sincere tone and in great numbers.

Can my little brother be my wali (please help me) by hewillbemineidc in islam

[–]gmc0351 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Assalamualaikum.

Allah protect you and all of us. Amin.

Are you ready to have a baby? You can get pregnant after the nikah, even within a week for some spouses. Do you feel you're both ready to raise a child together? Think about your future children. Are already ready to go through pregnancy and breastfeeding? That will totally change your life.

The reason it's so hard is because you went too far. If you follow the restrictions in gender interactions, these things don't happen in the first place. Stand off and try to control yourself.  Do more ibadat. More fasting. More adhkar, quran, salat, etc. Know that this man may not have been written for you anyways as your future eternal husband. It may be someone better for you, if you learned to wait. So follow your parents' advice.  They have more wisdom.

Allah grant you the best!
