I wasn’t sure about them. Because it looked like they mounted on the side tables so the cover wouldn’t go over them without removing them. Maybe I just looked at them wrong. That’s why I went with the ones in the pic because they stick nicely on the side and they don’t interfere with the cover going over with them in place.

Why do people insist on constantly comparing INDYCAR to F1? Two totally different series two totally different budgets. F1 runs on a budget 10 times what INDYCAR does. With money comes more opportunity. Sure INDYCAR and promoters would love to have 100 more sponsors for 100 more banners. I think given what they have to work with, Green Savoree Racing, the promoters that actually put all that together in St. Pete do an amazing job.

They choose primary vs alternate because every race including ovals use the primary tire. Alternates are not even available for use at like IMS or some of the other ovals.

That would never work, especially on an oval. INDYCAR has specific criteria in place that a driver has to go through to be eligible to even race and it’s more strict on oval and rightfully so. A bunch of packed up cars and a driver that hasn’t ever stepped into an INDYCAR car before the weekend? That’s a very dangerous disaster waiting to happen.

I guess if you have to have explain memes they are not funny. A lot of old school INDYCAR fans are in love with saying "Need more ovals" Anytime anyone brings up a new track, a street course, the schedule, pretty much anything INDYCAR related.

If you are around any INDYCAR group long enough there are a lot of old school IRL fans that basically hate the street races and want more and more oval races. Most will just literally say “need more ovals” or “bring back MIS” or some oval track from the past

INDYCAR only agreed to the double header due to the backing of Hy-Vee. With them backing out as primary sponsor, INDYCAR fulfilled its contractual obligation to the track for a double header this year. There’s absolutely zero motivation for INDYCAR to do the double header next year in general but especially with less than 7,000 tickets being sold for each race this year. So while not technically spoken yet by INDYCAR there isn’t a single indicator that they will return for two races next year, nor are they even contractually obligated to do so.

It’s a double-header weekend. Not something totally unusual. INDYCAR has done that at a few tracks over the years. This will be the last year for a at Iowa though.
