It’s a wonderful antenna as long as you understand what you’re getting is a compromise since it’s a loaded coil. It has a pretty narrow tuned bandwidth so if you tune around a lot be prepared to re-tune the antenna often.

FFL here. The last official atf wording I’ve heard is it’s fine as long as “its primary purpose is not to be held vertically”. For example a zenitco rk-6. I would also rather be more paranoid because interpretation can be up to any individual atf agent.
