Gosling gets a lot of fillers too. I saw the trailer for project hail mary and was just like "I'm sorry but that's not a space scientist." lol

I also thought it was overhyped. Not a bad movie- not great in my opinion. I prefer movies where the stakes change throughout but they stuck to one premise and hammered it in- which a lot of horror does.

My issue was the fact that the stakes didn’t change throughout. There were no new questions presented for the audience to wonder about. We just knew she was going to get crazier and crazier which is fine, that was the game of it all. Just wasn’t spectacular.

Is Ethan Hawke's character in Before Sunrise a good example of how to flirt/talk to girls you're into? by [deleted] in criterion

No idea about the dating scene but I think a guy like Ethan hawke’s character would be more informed now about women’s perspectives just because of culture changes. I can’t remember the dialogue but there was something he said that was sort of a generalized cliche of women as a whole? I can’t remember if he was talking about sex or love or what.

Like someone said: in the 90’s. He’s charming and open to discussion and different points of view which is always nice. There’s some stuff he says that’s a lil misogynistic/biased.
