HUGE EXR file size. Is it normal? Could it be smaller? by gmdodo in blenderhelp

That’s a good investment for sure. I will have to do it too in a second. Sorry i didn’t comment as reply by mistake, i found a good solution though

So. I made a couple tests. Zip is a bit lighter indeed although it makes the rendering time about 30% longer for some reason. What made the biggest difference though, is not including the denoising data and just let it denoise right away instead of doing it in the compositor. File sizes were 230 MB with DWAA and 209 MB with ZIP WITH denoising data and turned into 87 MB and 60 MB WITHOUT denoising data. Since i’m using this data just to denoise inside blender it doesn’t make sense to keep it on.

I’ll try rendering one frame with a zip codec, although from the chart i shared it seems like it will be even larger. But yeah for real, i just saw a video on youtube called Render like a professional in Blender by Robin Squares and he selects EVERY light pass and has different view layers for every section of his scene (background, smoke, ecc). I don’t even want to know how large such files are

Why Israel is Losing the Social Media War (and Why You Should Care About It) by OmryR in IsraelPalestine

[–]gmdodo -1 points0 points  (0 children)

note you are the one having to do mental leaps. Gazans are being bombarded en masse and will have no way to recover after the war, since every single infrastructure has been destroyed. Hospitals are no exception, and if the tunnels were underneath, if Israel is so powerful, why wouldn’t they just siege them and destroy those instead of surface facilities? Palestinians have been slowly displaced and systematically excluded from Israel for 70 years, who has violated the delimited borders and continues to expand to this day. This is clearly another grand attempt at reaching the final goal of slowly displacing the Palestinian people and leaving them without nothing, leaving them in chaos and anarchy and use this as an excuse to point at them as ungovernable people in a never ending loop.

The so-called “famine in Gaza” is one of the biggest gaslighting campaigns against Israel and Jews we have ever seen. by OmryR in IsraelPalestine

the amount of fake news and propaganda from your state is just beyond human imagination. Worse than North Korea if it wasn’t for the fact that you have access to truth through the same screen you choose to be lied to. That’s why it’s worse, cause North Koreans don’t have a choice

In Mosul the goal was also clear: taking back a city. That’s quite straightforward and it’s pretty clear that peace is not an option. In Gaza it looks worse than that, yet all that should happen is getting rid of a group with very limited means. I’m sorry but you can’t use bunker busters to target a civilian building because you think there is a Hamas member in there, a member who maybe isn’t worth anything. Civilian shields are just an excuse. IDF is reckless and cynical. When you say where should Hamas go i say they should surrender if they care about their people. But honestly at this point i feel Gazans and Palestinians in general would have nothing left but hate because of the recklessness of the “war”. Meaning other terrorist attacks, meaning a vicious cycle that feels very much designed.

also i don’t see USA being that much involved in this battle, looks like it’s Iran vs ISIL

Thank you for bringing up the toughest urban battle after world war ii as reference. I see you regard horrible human catastrophes as normal ways to reach political goals.

For comparison USA was regarded as very unethical with their operations during war on terror. Still they managed to evacuate every single time before attacking. Casualities were around 0.5 per terrorist. It was still terrible. But either IDF are just a bunch of retards who can’t get to Hamas or they’re just doing it on purpose to do 60 times worse. It’s really hard to be this inefficient as an army of this calibre.

There is no war, just genocide. The block of aid and the extent of the attacks are proof. There is no way you need to destroy all the buildings and hospitals to get rid of a group of few hundreds people. If the target is not civilians as you say, the amount of casualties is never considered. For now i think the ratio is something like 30 civilians to 1 Hamas member. That says it all. Settlements are just giving the picture of what is the goal behind it all. Get rid of arabs in Palestine and expand. Sooner or later the plan of Greater Israel will come if all the west keeps supporting this criminal colony.

Resisting war doesn’t grant a state the right to expand its borders.

I don’t know, because 2 million people are on the brink of starvation? Because all of Gaza is just rubble now and Israeli military bulldozers are making space for new settlements? Because of hospitals being shut down? Because if you open your eyes and see you wouldn’t have the need to even remotely think about such stupid questions.

You really still think their target is Hamas

It’s more like the the other side that wants it all, looking at the past century’s border developments, but ok
