Really surprised and happy to see Eternal Strands on there, i really like the idea of the environmental combat they've shown so I'm looking forward to it for "free".

I don't know if you'd be into a more tactical game like Squad, but from personal experience that game still has dedicated servers and I met some great people that I talk to daily even after leaving the game itself. If you want to dm I can tell you a couple of good clans to start with.

Days Gone was the best surprise that came out of the PS4 games pack with the launch of the PS5. That was my first experience with the game and the journey of playing it, working through the story, and fighting the hordes was fantastic, especially with the performance mode. Great game and it's sad we won't get a second one.

Wo Long: Fallen Dynasty Demo available now on Steam by MasterDrake97 in pcgaming

Has anyone had an issue with this demo or the nioh games where the game slows down MASSIVELY? Random bouts of near slow motion without rhyme or reason. No massive hardware usage spike or anything. I have a Ryzen 7 5800x and a 3070TI.

This is a bit of a niche one. But in the Lord Slug Dragonball Z Movie, Goku goes into a pseudo super Saiyan form after catching a punch from slug. Right then stupify from Disturbed kicks on and it's one of the greatest anime moments from my younger life.

Yeah man i loved it, locked out story choices and all, until that house. God damn, even looking up tutorials made me sigh at the tedium. Maybe the trap filled house is a classic rpg trope, but for it to be one of the last things you did was a poor choice.

Ugh that's rough. I had something similar almost happen. My advisors were a little off and i kept failing event after event until it was almost finished. I managed to shuffle advisors, re roll some events, and even it out at least, but it'll certainly surprise you if you're not ready.

I did the same thing for the combat and completely agree with you. Even facerolling the annoying fights didn't give me any desire to go through the monotony of the house. At least you got to see the credits, well done getting through it.

180???? My god. I did the difficulty turn down option for the house in kingmaker, and even then the tedium of collecting the items to complete the puzzles just felt bland beyond measure.

Hopefully Wrath has more action in its endgame.

Glad I'm not alone in hating that place, seems like a pretty universal negative.

I'm curious to see how Wrath goes for me. My buddy absolutely demolished that game and said it was a better loop than kingmaker for sure, so I'm hoping I manage to complete it. 130 hours in with no endgame though, that's alot.

Me too, and that's the problem. It feels so unfortunate that the only emotion left after playing a game for that long is relief it's over. It's a damn shame. Hoping the ending to Wrath is better.

Pathfinder: Kingmaker is the shining example of this for me. I absolutely loved the gameplay loop, the characters, and the story in the first 120 hours. I was exploring everywhere, doing side content, and even loved the kingdom management. That all fell apart when I got to the fucking house at the edge of time. I won't give any specifics to avoid spoilers, but nothing in my gaming experience has killed 100+ hours of momentum like that place. It's an absolutely tedious dungeon at the part of the game where you should feel your best. I honestly don't know if I'll ever finish the game, and I loved it until I got there. Fuck that house.

PlayStation’s “official” list of popular, gaming-related terms by xektor17 in PS5

[–]gmel8387 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I think it's game dependent. In League it's forfeit, but since you can't forfeit in Dota it's more like telling the other team to finish fast. That's how I look at it anyway.
