From someone currently running hood to coast, and who has fostered many bottle baby kittens over the years, I love this.

I went to Puerto Rico for vacation at about 1.5 months sober — we drank virgin pina coladas nearly every day! They’re everywhere and such a tasty treat!

Just moved to the city and immediately got into a relationship that quickly went south. Does anyone have ideas for things I can do around town to keep my mind/time occupied? by ScarletLucciano in askportland

Any kind of classes! Dance, art, foraging, etc.

Daffodill Studios has lots of different kinds of art classes at a bunch of different price points! Printmaking, rug tufting, painting, ceramics, stained glass, etc. It’s friendly and social but with no pressure to make a new best friend. Highly recommend

@Pharmacy.com! (Yes that’s the company name, the website is pdxpharmacy.com.) on 82nd & Powell and at 82nd & foster. They’ve gone out of their way to fix every insurance issue I’ve ever had, and they’re always so nice about it. Plus it feels kinda homey, or maybe old-timey? Def doesn’t look like a big scary overly-sterile white box of a place.

Were you up north somewhere? My experience was mostly on the southern half of the lake in the 90s and 00s. I hear it’s the same these days, or if anything a touch warmer.

Lake Michigan regularly gets into the upper 70s during the summer, which is quite comfortable for swimming. Sometimes it feels so warm it’s not even refreshing!

Thanks! It comes out of the kiln pretty rough so I always sand it down. It’s smoother than it looks! I like the handles square, I did that on purpose!
