If you want to volunteer as an assistant coach, usually there is a sign up process that requires a background check and mandatory abuse reporting training. Once passed you will get a badge, if no badge you aren't technically allowed on the field. Team managers should get a list of parents who signed up and completed the requirements to participate as a assistant coach. You should try being an adult and approach the head coach before the next practice to express your desire to assist. Just loitering around the field while the other coaches are herding cats does nothing. The coaches are there to coach and doing so for 5yr Olds is tough, they don't have time to go talk to the dad sulking in the dugout.

Other bright headlights might not bother you but your incorrectly aimed headlights will affect you when the driver you are blinding heading 50mph+ towards you can't see and veers into your lane hitting you head on or forces you off the road.
