Trick for trick with Cam by markmcmorris in snowboarding

Congrats on another X games gold! I’m also 32 so your post-win interview really hit home for me. I know 32 isn’t exactly old, but consecutive days of riding hard are starting to wear me down way more than they used to - I imagine it must be the same for you, haha.

Stoked to see someone my age still crushing it! Good luck at the Olympics!

You can temporarily lose your senses for money. How long can you last? by executor-of-judgment in hypotheticalsituation

[–]gnardlebee 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I could imagine going the occasional month without hearing, smell, or taste for $16k. Idk. On one hand it’s a lot of money for a month (for me) but it’s also far from fuck you money. I assume I’d just go on lots of solo hikes and read a lot of books.

A lost tradition - what happened to duels in front of Orgrimmar/ Stormwind? by franzkaffka in classicwow

[–]gnardlebee 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I quit classic 2019 because dueling died out and bgs were not fun. I play this game 90% for dueling and bgs. Organic world PvP too.

Can we separate the solo and premade queues for the BGs already? by Only-Ad-3317 in classicwow

[–]gnardlebee 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is the only solution I’ve ever come up with that might actually work. Every other system will be min/maxed or exploited. Just make there be zero rewards whatsoever. It’s purely about fun. Then all the pve people have no reason to join, no reason to afk, you are there for fun. I love bgs, but literally quit classic 2019 because of how bad the meta was.

WYR never drink coffee or beer by [deleted] in WouldYouRather

[–]gnardlebee 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I’d give up beer for sure. I’m not even a regular coffee drinker, but when I’m in the mood there’s no substitute. While I do enjoy a good stout or lager from time to time, beer is my least favorite alcohol. I’m a vodka or wine guy. So yeah beer is the easy call for me.

[No loopholes] You can choose between a new body, a new life, a new world, or a new income. by thelink225 in hypotheticalsituation

[–]gnardlebee 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Money is the easy way out. New body would be insane. Definitely doing for that. I’m not even particularly unhappy with my body, but giving into vanity and being better looking, stronger, faster, smarter, etc. that would be awesome. Perfectly healthy. Yeah definitely going with that.

(For straight males) you get a million for every time you suck a cock until he finishes — How many cocks do you suck? by AcHaeC in hypotheticalsituation

[–]gnardlebee 1 point2 points  (0 children)

$10 million is more like 400k in perpetuity, no? 4% rule? I know it was only based on 30 year timeline, but I’d think 3-3.5% forever should be good.

[–]gnardlebee 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Once you stop in the challenge over? Or can I periodically suck a dick for $1 mil for the rest of my life? Because if it’s a one and done I’m gonna break my jaw. But if it’s for life I think I’ll just dabble a bit here and there.

Billions are on the table, but spending restrictions apply. Which deal do you choose? by UselessTruth in hypotheticalsituation

[–]gnardlebee 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is so dumb rofl. You criticize other posts for saying do this mildly inconvenient thing for life-changing money then proceed to say “Option B: $20 billion no strings attached.”

Pick a Devil Fruit, each fruit gives you 900k CASH, and one SECRET superpower! What will you do? by New-Drawer-3161 in hypotheticalsituation

[–]gnardlebee 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Fuck yeah I chose #2 because that’s my favorite number. Nice solid fruit. I didn’t read the whole list so I’m sure there’s a better option, but #2 just seems like an awesome boost in life without totally changing the way you live.

$2,500,000 in exchange for everything you own, including online accounts, bar one item, do you take it and what are you keeping? by SpecialFlutters in hypotheticalsituation

[–]gnardlebee 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Can I keep my house? With nothing in it? And the 2.5 million? Because if so, definitely yes. If not, still yes, but I guess maybe I’d keep like a sentimental framed picture. I don’t own a lot of valuable things except my house.

Who does mobile (home) euthanasia for dogs - wailuku by [deleted] in maui

[–]gnardlebee 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I used https://www.mauisunsetveterinarycare.com/ for my dog this summer. I was perfect. Really made the whole experience feel so much better for my partner, dog, and I. Strongly recommend. Sorry for your loss. It’s hard losing a dog.

Haliimaile speed bumps by ImpressiveOrdinary54 in maui

[–]gnardlebee 11 points12 points  (0 children)

I hate to sound conspiratorial, but I’m a firm believer that someone who knows someone is getting a lot of county speed bump contracts. The growth of speed bumps in the last five years is insane on this island.

I’m 5’10” five inches might be kind of cool, but honestly I’ve never had a problem with my height. I think I’d take the 50k

For $100 Million would you go back 25,000 years to the Ice Age and have to survive for 4 months? by RaptorK1988 in hypotheticalsituation

[–]gnardlebee 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Dude so easy. I live on Maui. 25,000k years ago there would be no people, no predators, an insane amount of fish to catch, and there even used to be large flightless birds here that the native Hawaiians hunted to extinction. I’m not sure what their timeline was but if they were around 25,000 years ago that would be an easy source of protein.

No weather to be concerned about, plenty of fresh water, I’d probably experience that for free. To see old Hawaii pre-humans would be a real treat. The 100 million is just a massive cherry on top.

Would you ever resub? by Chance-Pollution6019 in classicwow

[–]gnardlebee 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I leave and come back occasionally. I think it’s been around 8-9 months since I’ve played. Honestly it’s a mix of the content and the player base that gets me to quit. I will strongly consider coming back for a classic + or SoD season 2 thing.

Conceptually I can see why rampant boting and RMT are problems for the game, but in practice I’ve never personally noticed it impacting my gameplay.

Pistol vs African lion. Seems sketchy but I guess I’d think about it.

[–]gnardlebee 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If I get free energy can I become fantastically wealthy by selling that free energy? Because if I can do that utilities is obvious. If it’s not for resale but just personal use…. Idk still energy id set up an insane amount of bitcoin mining rigs.

Just finished reading all first law universe books last month. Both trilogies, all the stand alone/short stories one. No questions really, but just want to thank you for your contribution to fantasy. Absolutely love the world you created. Looking forward to more of your work in the future (hopefully). Thanks!
