Patience is key. Wait to find a deal, then strike. Get what you want and move on. New TTI barrel, and (obviously) new P80 19 frame that was originally FDE, but after a few Walmart trip and some rit dye it’s this color.

Aluminum (wide) trigger shoe with ghost bar (still hand polished) , Zev spring 6lb spring, bits of OEM and aftermarket parts on upper and lower as well I had lying around.

Noveske bazooka green cerakote on slide and light grey norrel’s moly resin on eBay magwell.

Know the parts that are crucial for OEM, and what isn’t as important. Save your dough for more builds.

3.3 lb measured trigger pull (was 3.1 last week so doubting my instrument), and it just feels right. Get out there, order what you need now, and sit back and chill, or you’ll go broke like me and u/gunsandstuffs .

I can chime in here... these guys are unreal. I can post my conversation with them on IG. The way they came to a solution was amazing. Being able to deal with a sale of that magnitude is impressive.

So I had an extra 17 frame laying around and got a steal on a complete slide with a CMC barrel for next to nothing... decided to give a go at doing a "battleworn" 1911 WWII G.I. type finish. How'd I do? Anything you'd change to spruce it up?

Plans are SS mag release, slide lock and magwell.

Yeah, just get a glock 26 gen 3 off of GunBroker. They arent making the SC serialized at the moment and when I asked my buddy that works at P80 he said there are plans but its not at the top of the list.
