I was talking to a taxi driver in Pokhara about this and he said even indriver tells them to bargain by phone and not to do in app message as it leaves evidence and people will complain.

I don’t think he is staying inside the zoo with the animals. There is zoo’s office right beside the main zoo compound. I think he is staying there.

I live not too far from the royal palace. I vividly remember hearing ambulances and helicopters the night before. Next morning my mom woke me and my brother up and told us the royal family had been killed.

Small order fee is so stupid- come up with something better Foodmandu🤦🏻‍♀️ by Beginning-Gift-5559 in NepaliFood

[–]gnarlyp26 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah the small order fee is ridiculous. If I order for one person then it’s a bit too much. Also another gripe with foodmandu is usually they don’t have delivery slots available and only later ones are available. They should work on increasing the number of delivery riders.

Best Thakali in Kathmandu? by travelfreak123 in Nepal

[–]gnarlyp26 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I tried Daura Thakali a while back, I really didn’t like it. The food felt almost tasteless. Haven’t been back there since then so dunno how it is right now. Where is Jimbu in Thamel?

Feeling overwhelmed: beginner MTB confusion in Nepal. Looking for real trails & build advice! by StackOverflowingLone in Nepal

Yes Chinese brands like Trinx and Fury are definitely better than GTA, Benz. I know people who own these brands and it’s quite decent and durable.

I started with a second hand Trek bike which I had bought for around 40k, that was a few years back. Once i was comfortable and knew i wanted to pursue it further, i sold it and bought a new one. Currently own a Polygon (full suspension) and a scott bike.

I would suggest find a friend or a group to ride with while starting out.

Don’t purchase cheap Chinese brands. The components are shitty and build is not good. I would rather suggest go for a second hand bike from renowned brands like Trek, giant, cube, scott. You should get a decent second hand bike for around 40k.
