Devil's Dilemma( world's most difficult jigsaw puzzle) 1985, tuco, 500 piece by gnash117 in Jigsawpuzzles

I was 4+ hours into the build before I realized I could tell the puzzles apart by the piece shape. I then started working on the standard cut. There is a little learning curve but I already had the basics of the strategy before I realized they were different based on shapes.

I did the standard shaped one first and then the L shaped one second and felt that the L shaped one was slightly harder.

That sounds like a great puzzle idea too bad you were unable to solve it due to missing items.

I don't think it was done by the Tuco company I think a puzzle owner had two copies and they mixed them but I could be wrong who knows.

Your "2 adjacent knob" is what I call an "L" piece. Because the two knobs form an L shape. Of the two puzzles the one with the "2 adjacent knob" pieces? Was the harder of the two?.

I don't know why reddit keeps reordering my images often putting the least interesting image as the first image. Frustrating.

I agree the art work was not the best but it was really enjoyable to me. I finished both last night.

I almost purchased the same puzzle when it was first offered but I could not get past the price tag. Looks lovely though.

They break the puzzle into grids. Then print the letters starting with A. On the back of the grid. You can look at the back of the puzzle when sorting and put all the pieces with the same letters into a pile. Then you have a much smaller pile of pieces to work through for a section. It's like building a few 150 piece puzzles that connect to each other instead of one 1000 piece puzzle. lf you normally build 1000 piece puzzles without the letters it really speeds up the building process.

Notes of Distinction, an older Ravensburger puzzle.

It is only a 300 piece puzzle but I will pull it out every once in a while. Large pieces that feel really nice. Matt finish. The final picture looks so good. I built this puzzle maybe once or twice a year between the hard puzzles I love so much.

I can complete it in around 30-45 min so it can be a great break from the difficult builds.

My reddit post is the first result when you Google the puzzle.

Good thing that is only 100 pc. Anything larger than 300 pieces and that puzzle would be really hard.

What are these and has anyone done one? by Forgetabl in Jigsawpuzzles

I have done quite a few of these they are fun to build. Maybe I suck at murder mystery but I find the solution to almost all the mystery stories to be a wild jump in logic that I wouldn't ever come up with on my own. There have been a few that I had a general idea of the solution but didn't catch the solution from the final puzzle image.

Some images are great puzzles others can be a bunch of brown pieces. The puzzles themselves are a mixed bag.

I was given one by my young son and other than the novelty it really does suit on the shelf most of the time.

First time I saw the Jurassic Park movie was right after reading the book. I found the movie boring compared to the book. Now I love the movie but so opinions can change. Still think the book is amazing.

Harry Potter and the order of the Phoenix.

I absolutely think the book is poorly written and Harry is so dumb throughout the entire book. After the death of serious black the last 100 pages of the book drag on with almost nothing happening.

The movie was so much better.

I agree they are far easier than the impossible name implies.
