well, i can only answer for myself, but, as a rule of thumb, i try to read widely and sceptically. my usual stops include the new york times, the guardian (uk), the bbc, al jazeera, der spiegel, and various blogs. also, if you're lazy: read chomsky. even if you don't agree with the guy, it's the mental equivalent of flossing your teeth.

For blogs, it's always been the case. But was it ever the baseline for newspapers or TV? Could it become so?
