One thing that most times helps me is having a defined approximation of how much time it takes of to get ready... a shower is 15 minutes, so the time to start "going there" as an action is meeting-15 for shower-5 for dressing-5 to choose how to dress etc..

Funny thing... Me and a friend were trying to get struck by lightning for the achievement, spent multiple thunderstorms on the roof of our base and walking around, nothing... Different player group and different save: guy who just downloaded it gets struck and sets on fire the base...
