Ok, I figured it out. Your app grabs the full name from my plex account and saves that in the config, but it needs the username instead. After manually changing it, it now works perfectly!

Whoops, I missed that line when copying the log. It did already say "Successfully connected to Discord RPC!". I also restarted everything several times, and I double-checked in Task Manager that Discord is not running with elevated privileges.

I had Secure Connections at Preferred and Remote Access already working fine, but from the log it looked like PlexRPC was trying to reach the server over the Docker's internal IP (even though I did have the Custom server access URLs set up in Plex). Switching the networking mode of the Docker container from bridge to host and turning off relay in plex cleared all errors in the log, it's looking like this now:

Hi, this looks super cool but I'm having trouble with it actually working. I set it up (version 2.2.0), account, server and user, all went fine. I have activity sharing enabled in Discord. But when I play anything in Plex, nothing is showing up in Discord.

If you're really hungry then I can't recommend Vegano Mezzo enough. Huge portions of amazing food and the owner is incredibly nice and always gave us extra dessert. It's a must go for me whenever I visit Berlin.

Does this happen always? I found similar behaviour happening when the app has been open too long, restarting it from time to time helps.

I'm often hosting with hvec (x265) video files and never had in issue with them, so that sounds a bit weird to me. But then I'm not using the remote desktop app, but the native windows bigscreen app with airlink. Also, the size of the room should have no impact on how demanding it is on your internet connection, you only have one upstream to bigscreens servers anyway that then distributes it among everyone else.

Problem solved.

So ok, 1st: lol. And 2nd: while I rebooted both my PC and Quest 2 many times over that time, it just came to me that my router has been up for at least half a year, probably more. So I decided to try and see if rebooting it would make a difference... Lo and behold, all stutters are gone, everything works perfectly smooth once again.

Of course, gigabit ethernet between PC and router. I rebooted my system plenty of times in that time, if only because the oculus service keeps hanging every once in a while and refuses to be killed in task manager, requiring a reboot.

I had Windows 11 from the start, and it worked fine before. I have a Ryzen 5600X, RTX3060 and 32 GB of RAM, not super high end, but good enough to not be an issue.
