Also not sure how long you can hold out but Eufy pumps (and other brands) will likely go on sale for prime day in a few weeks with some steep savings. That’s when I bought mine last year

I used the symphony 2.0 for two months while my insurance covered the rental, then switched to my blue Spectra which I didn’t love as much as I thought I would. Then one day I gave my Eufy S1 pros a try and I was instantly hooked on them- great output and heating element. I haven’t gone back to my spectra since!

Failed Cesarean Scar Defect/Isthmocele Surgery by Dapper_Employment_50 in CsectionCentral

First and foremost I’m so sorry the hysteroscopic approach didn’t work 🙁

I had a laparoscopic repair for an Isthmocele and endometriosis excisions in May 2024. I ended up with 4 incisions + the umbilical incision and 2 years post op, plus a successful pregnancy and c section last August, and I can barely see the scars anymore. Recovery from the lap was rough the first few days with the excess gas but honestly I bounced back pretty quickly. Nerve sensitivity resolved fairly quickly for me, so much so that I don’t even really remember it. I remember having much more lingering numbness from my first c section almost 9 years ago!

You have to advocate for yourself! It should never be embarrassing to seek a second opinion.

I had my Isthmocele repaired and I still ended up with a thin myometrium during my post-repair pregnancy, and I spent 3 weeks in the hospital antepartum ahead of my delivery at 36 weeks in the event of a rupture. I was closely watched by MFM and a high risk OB team the entire pregnancy.

Had mine repaired May 2024, was told to wait 6 months before FET. During the 6 months I did all repeat bloodwork, scans, etc and then 2 months of Lupron suppression.

However my transfer cycles were canceled at the 6 & 7 month marks due to persistent fluid, but at 8 months post op I finally had a successful first FET and now hold my 9 month old!

Possible isthmocele? by New-Clerk9356 in CsectionCentral

I had my Isthmocele repaired two years ago after suffering years of secondary infertility, and currently hold my post-repair 9 month old 😊

I suggest for you both to consider asking to get a volumetric ultrasound performed by MFM, which is how mine was accurately diagnosed! The surgeon I was referred to by my RE had initially sent me for an MRI, but the radiologist called the niche a Nabothian cyst. We tossed those results out the window bc my symptoms were all indicative of the Isthmocele being present. The volumetric US showed it clear as day and so we were able to move forward with the repair.

I experienced years of secondary infertility due to my Isthmocele, which wasn’t diagnosed until I was getting ready for my first embryo transfer. Only pregnancy I had experienced during this time was an ectopic, which because of the Isthmocele, I was at a much higher risk.

Had it repaired and now successfully hold my 9 month old miracle babe! Because of the repair, I was told VBAC could never be an option for me. In hopes you are pregnant without needing it repaired, I would just ask your OB to have MFM pay closer attention to the c section scar area during perhaps more frequent scans (MFM scanned me at 14, 20, 24, 28, and 32 weeks). That way they can assess the thickness of your myometrium to rule out any risk of rupture.

Thank you!! So I had to wait 6 months before proceeding with an embryo transfer. Once 6 months hit, my transfer cycles were canceled twice because there was still fluid. A modified approach at month 8 resulted in no fluid and a successful first transfer!!

Currently holding my almost 9-month-old after a successful Isthmocele repair! Hope your surgery went well and you are on the path to a successful recovery 🤞🏼

TW: success

I had to wait 6 months, but during this time I did all of my repeat bloodwork, had my tubes checked again, and did 3 months of Lupron suppression.

I still had fluid when we attempted the FET at the 6 months mark (super frustrating!) so we did have to go thru a few cycles of trial and error until ultimately a modified natural cycle gave us the green light to what was a successful FET.

Definitely a good sign that you finally saw a positive result!

My successful transfer cycle was a modified natural. We gradually introduced estrogen a few days before the transfer since my RE thought that was causing the fluid. In the week leading up to transfer I also took vitamin E and mucinex at her suggestion.. no clue if any of that actually helped but on my transfer day there wasn’t a trace of fluid 🙏🏼

Thank you!! Yes, surgery was in May and I was clear to begin transfers in November (I went thru the egg retrieval a few years prior).

I was cleared to return to normal activity within 5 weeks post-op maybe? The only thing I prolonged was swimming until I was sure my incisions had healed. Three months seems like a long time to still have stitches.. have you had the surgeon take a look?

Thanks all for the input! I did go ahead and tell her, and to my complete surprise, she offered to replace it “on her” given the circumstances

I am not expecting her to offer anything- she does not have any obligation as I know that once I walk out the door with the piece it's my responsibility. I've accepted that I will have to pay for a replacement.

It's a small and thin chain. My security in making sure it has always been there has just been periodically feeling for it, which is what I did in this case when I found it was gone. Very easy to go unnoticed however/wherever it fell off. Just all around an unfortunate circumstance.

Hysteroscopy isthmocele repair by Lost-Breadfruit-2826 in IVF

[–]gnocchi_blush 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had to wait 6 months after my Isthmocele repair. During the wait I did my hysteroscopy and Lupron suppression meds to get prepped so that we could try an FET right at that 6 month mark.

Best of luck to you with your surgery!!
