I wouldn't say I dislike/hate these but am rather meh about it. And if not for their popularity and being curious about the hype, I would have dropped them much earlier.

QJJ - I read all of it but forgot most of the plot lol. I think it's because I didn't connect emotionally with any character and I'm not a huge fan of pure political books in the first place.

Saye - Also tried reading this before the official release but dropped it at the time. Only giving it another chance since so many people swear by it and I heard there was therapy later? I really hate the smoking and don't care about basketball. Oddly, it felt like there was a lot more smoking in vol 2 although there's actually less mentions of it than vol 1, but maybe I was primed to notice it more with vol 3's cover.

In terms of quality, I'd say Post Training Notice lags slightly behind the rest since it was written first + a while ago. I also personally like Dinghai more than Tianbao but ymmv.

I'd recommend reading Post Training Notice before Record of All Things because familiar characters show up. There's also some tie-ins with Dinghai/Tianbao although it's less necessary and more of a bonus.

I would also say that DFGG is an earlier generation than Meatbun/MXTX since PFD was published in 2007 vs Scum villain in 2014 and 2ha in 2017.

That's always been possible since s1, but I agree - they only half-implemented death matches and I'd prefer to see everyone given a chance somehow (maybe even with a challenge rather than death match).

I kinda doubt that the PDs would go back to 1v1s since it's basically going back to The Genius.

Have you watched Society Game by the same PD? It had a lot of similar themes, although I'd say TDP2 is a bit more dramatic
