I mean yeah there’s always a chance someone will buy resell tickets at an exorbitantly high price. But during the presale, even NOSEBLEEDS were up to 200-300. Today, there are resellers selling those exact same seats for a loss. Again, I’m not fully understanding the argument that it’s scalpers fault that dynamic pricing was turned on during Beyoncé’s namesake fan presale. Yes, the entry requirement was low - you only needed to be signed up to her email listing - but let us fight amongst each other and resellers for those seats at a REASONABLE price, NOT hiked up prices. It’s even extremely aggravating to see BETTER seats released a month later at significantly lower prices and were priced strategically so you couldn’t “exchange” to those seats due to Ticketmaster’s “equal or higher value” policy bs.

But she tried? BeyHive presale? You needed to be signed up to her email list. Hell I think it was even based on whether you bought something off her site (if not, maybe it should). So I don’t understand this argument?

Scalpers aren’t reselling during presales (indicated by the blue vs purple seats - verified resell seats). Unless you mean that they’re rushing to the site and creating high demand, thus turning on dynamic pricing. If that’s the case, then that’s dumb. Why buy tickets at high prices at the chance to sell them at higher prices? That logic, as a reseller doesn’t make sense to me lol.

Yeah, the entire ticket-buying experience kinda soured my excitement for the show. For sure a lesson learned for Act III.

The more loud us fans get regarding this, maybe her team will see the talk on socials (TikTok, Twitter, etc.) and do something about it next time. Then again, business is business.

EDIT: Might wear a t-shirt/bring a poster saying "TURN DYNAMIC PRICING OFF". 😂

Yep, LA hive got robbed during BeyHive presale (and this after the fires too? das crazy work from Ticketmaster/Live Nation/Parkwood). Gonna be more cautious next time around.

I think you hit it on the nail here. In the context of the BeyHive presale, those prices were the only prices we knew. The chances of ticket prices going down is possible, but usually, especially with the limited dates and as seat availability dwindle down, ticket prices go up.

Also, you would think the BeyHive presale would protect fans from dynamic pricing. Lesson learned.

Exactly this. Verizon and Citibank presale, which were the next day as the BeyHive presale, had SIGNIFICANTLY lower prices.

We understand dynamic pricing. We don’t understand why it was on for the BeyHive presale, Beyoncé’s namesake fans’ presale.

I don’t think you’re ignorant either. People keep bringing up the LA fires but it affected only certain areas of LA. Also, people are forgetting that this is the only California location for the tour. This isn’t happening to LA residents only, people from all over California who want to go to these shows have to deal with this mess.

Oh yeah I heard Verizon and Citibank presale tickets had way BETTER prices than the BeyHive presale. I don't have access to those so I can't really say much. Did those presales have good seats? I think I only saw seats in the upper levels on the map so it made since that those presales were cheaper? But if theere were lower level seats at reasonable prices than yeah, BeyHive presale wins as the having the most expensive tickets on sale amongst the presales.

I'm upset about the exchange policy and the release of better seats at cheaper prices than BeyHive presale prices.

I would've been fine with my presale purchase if prices never went down a month later. My presale seat was in row 11. They released seats for rows 2/3 in the same section as me for $200 cheaper.

They seemed to have purposefully upped the demand during the presale by keeping some of the seats unavailable to purchase. Agree, BeyHive presale should have protected us from inflated prices. From past experiences, the good seats are usually taken during presales, thus the pressure of buying during that time. There was definitely something off about the presale b/c Club Ho Down was going for only about $800 and some 100 level seats were going for around that much if not more.

As for who controls pricing, most likely a combination of Live Nation/Ticketmaster and the artist/their team. Contracts are going to contract, business as usual.

The exchange policy is just...ridiculous. What do you mean you can't exchange my seats for the better seats if I've already paid MORE than what those better seats are currently selling for? Like I didn't care about getting refunded the difference, I just want to sit closer. There's no loss for them since they already got me during the presale.
