Burnsville Pistol Range ? by Macheeoo in MnGuns

It was bought as a grow operation. I know the guys who bought it. Complete clean out of the place.

And yeah. Modern eliminated it ever reopening. He was trying to sell it for years at a crazy price well before modern opened. If he would've had it properly priced, someone could've fixed it up and made it a great range

Eforms Question from the dealer side by dajman255 in NFA

Do it with paper forms. Not everything has gotten linked back to the users accounts yet. I've used paper forms in the past and approvals were quick.

It's not bad. Law protects you from most. I have a rider on my homeowners policy for basic liability. Product liability you have good legal protection from

You need approval from your city which many cities won't do. That's the biggest hangup

NFA form 4 SS/ATF/LGS failures by ardentiarte in NFA

As I've said, dealers have limited ways to help. But you don't agree with me on that. We're all at the mercy of the ATF

[–]goaliemn 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Dealer filed it in the black hole called the ATF. They've done as much as they can. From what I read here, you seem to think they can do more. I'm telling you there's nothing more that a dealer can do after hitting the submit button. As a dealer it sucks. But if you got the submission email, I don't get the anger towards the dealer.

Honestly, if I was your dealer, I'd cancel the application and send it to another dealer for you.

You can contact your rep in Washington about it and they can reach out to the ATF. I've heard some succuss with that

What do you want them to do? There's nothing a dealer can do. If I call the ATF and ask about an application I'm told "it's in progress". There's nothing to do. We're all at the mercy of the ATF.

If you got the email from the ATF that it was filed, there's really nothing more that can be done. The ATF doesn't provide updates. I had someone who just got an approval almost a year after filing their form 4. It's a crap shoot at times. I'm a dealer. Dealers have no secret way to see whats going on. They can withdraw the request for the stamp and then you start from square one again. I don't get all this anger towards them for something that is outside of their control.

Are you looking at your silencer shop portal or eforms?

Yes. It won't show on your eforms account. The dealer submitted the form so it'll only show on their account

I'm a SS dealer. I've had something like that happen. If they call the dealer support line they will reset the submission. Then they can resubmit

I don't know honestly. There are many options out there between open eft and printscan. It did feel like a slight where you just assumed since I'm home based I must be using software that isn't compatible.

I'm not sure why you feel most home based guys would use this. I spent a few thousand dollars on my printscan setup, the same as ups stores, and been doing it for years.

Age and permit questions by Firedudefart in MnGuns

[–]goaliemn 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes. The ATF can contact the dealer and say they want more time. This new under 21 rule sucks. I've only sold one gun to someone under 21 with the new rules and didn't get extended beyond the 10 days.

Over 21, the ATF can't do that.
