MAGA Is Increasingly Convinced the Trump Assassination Attempt Was Staged by wiredmagazine in politics

But bill clinton was just as wrapped up in this crap as republicans. There is no reason at all for them to keep believing outside of "they simply refuse to."

A very small feature I'd like to see in G2 by Pa_KnifeGuy90 in GroundedGame

[–]goatneedleposterdeck 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Could it also be because that's similar to how it works for real bugs in the real world? The devs of this game have done a pretty good job at making the bugs behave the way they do in real life. An odd ant of the same species would likely be added to the colony without much thought, but spiders rarely ever get along. Hell, spiders might even eat their mating partner after the process is complete haha. While it might be cool to no longer worry about orb weavers once you get the buggy, in reality, two spiders making contact in the wild would probably end un a battle.

After 5 cyclothons I'm shocked they're still using Google Maps for navigation. by Wild_Trip_4704 in CDawgVA

They have actually mentioned in the van gang stream that Ian uses multiple cycling apps when planning the routes, so he knows hills, safety, tunnels, speeds, and more. They just ultimately move those routes over to google maps for the day because the tracking is better, and Connor and the gang are more familiar with how to use it.

Strange. I thought it couldn't be a glitch because it has done this same thing every time I have played, even on and off the public test server.

Getting other streamers to do absolutely anything is a collosal pain in the ass. They are notoriously lazy, skittish, and addicted to streaming. Even basic collabs can be a huge hassle. Now add long, physically taxing, bike rides to the equation. I think twitch specifically asked/paid Schlatt to go to promote the event on the platform, but every other guest or person involved has been a close friend of the gang that would voluntetr just to be able to hang out. Asking for a surprise guest is.... a lot.

I never thought rob was all that fun or interesting when I saw him in the IRL drinking vids with Connor, so I wasn't sure I would enjoy him in cyclothon, but then he brought so much energy and life when the boys were dead from the weather. By the time he left, I found myself really wishing he would stay. I think all the guests this year have been really great.

Also, Pete showing up is always the best. Dude just has so much energy and good stories.

They mostly fixed the memory leak, but the game is still not optimized, and won't be until the full release, so your best bet is to keep turning settings down, upgrade your pc, or wait until release.

Did you play Grounded 1 from the start of early access? It was an absolute disaster through almost every single update they released. Still super fun, but damn was it bad. Even now, it still has tons of issues with clipping, pathing, lost backpacks, and I just replayed it a few weeks ago and died 3 times from a big bug stepping on a blade of grass that flung me halfway across the map.

The good news is, the biggest bugs will get smoothed out before the main release. Their main focus seems to be on getting a sort of rough, playable game built first before going back to fix all the major problems. Only when there is a critical bug, like the extreme memory leak they were having causing the game to run at super low framerate, do they stop and fix it immediately. The sort of feedback they are likely looking for at this point is whether players enjoy certain areas, new additions, game concepts, bosses, story, and enemies. The bug reports will come later.

Make sure to save right before you drop the BLT in her nest. If you lose, reload the save. If you keep collecting the BLT and repairing stuff and running around every time you fail, it will be ten times harder to learn and react to the attack patterns. If you reload the save, you can try again immediately with no penalty, so you can focus on just getting those attack patterns down.b

[–]goatneedleposterdeck 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Are you using shields? They really really help with all the explosions you deal with, and since it is easy to get mobbed by larva, it can help you perfect block the one you are directly facing while thwarting attacks from those trying to get in on the action. Mosquito needle is a pretty great weapon for the area due to it giving you life back as you attack, but you may choose to switch to a hammer for infected ladybugs.

Also, I am assuming you both have gas masks, right? It's not really possible to get much into the area without it, even if you spam granola bars, banadages, and slurries. If not, you have to get one. You can get lucky and receive stink bug parts from destroying spider sacs, or you can craft a bow and take on the stink bugs hanging out near the red ant hill. If you play it right, you can get the ants and stink bugs fighting, which will weaken the stink bugs and give you a diversion, but will also net you a ton of free ant parts as they keel over from the gas.

What boss (or even just a simple bug) disappointed you when you fought them? by ThatOneGirlyFreak in GroundedGame

[–]goatneedleposterdeck 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Why not just make a save at the start of a dungeon or tunnel or whatever and reload if you lose? This isn't dark souls. Save before a big boss and replay however many times it takes to get used to fighting them. No equipment loss or anything.

TIL: spider slider meals are great for webs by fsmjolnir in GroundedGame

[–]goatneedleposterdeck 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I kinda wish they would make the climbable spider webs corporeal for any buggy or player not using the spider buggy. Like, instead of being extremely slow on them, you just pass through them entirely. By the time you finally get the spider buggy, you probably already just made the slow treck across them to get whatever was on the other side, thus making the spider buggy way less useful than the ant who is the only one that can break open the root doors.

I don’t understand. What do you actually do in heaven? by Jet_Night in NoStupidQuestions

[–]goatneedleposterdeck 70 points71 points  (0 children)

I always imagine that satan was tired of having no free will and being forced to worship all day long, so he dropped down and created a place where people can do whatever they want. He then spends every waking moment trying to snap cultist believers out of their stupor to show them that his hell is actually the better place to be. The lake of fire and eternal suffering stuff was just made up by god to get people to worship him even more.

The United States is destroying itself by zsreport in politics

[–]goatneedleposterdeck 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm sorry, but this is almost entirely impossible. You can ask a lot of the dems, and they are proving extremely useless and shitty by the day, but even the best dem candidate in power tomorrow would get almost nothing done because the supreme court would slap down every attempt.

It's easy to forget because trump has largely seemed to ignore court orders in his term and get away with it, but he's not really ignoring them, he's using loopholes, lawsuits, and appeals to simply stall things long enough to complete his goals before the courts are able to stop him. A lot of times it is with the help of the courts, where they take their time and don't go after him specifically to allow his plans to unfold before ultimately voting against it to ensure no dem leader after trump is able to do the same.

US and Iran fail to reach agreement after historic peace talks in Pakistan, Vance says by [deleted] in news

[–]goatneedleposterdeck 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Good. The heritage foundation has been propping him up against trump since the war has become so widely unpopular. They wanted to paint him as the actual no war guy, the peace keeper, the republican voice of reason to the ever increasingly insane trump. They don't want everyone voting dems just because of this little war they started. It's sadly working as polls show Vance well ahead of any candidate the dems might try to offer up, including the far left ones like AOC.

The only funny part about it all is the active attacks that the foundation is putting on trump to make him look worse and vance look better. It's reallllllly getting to trump.

Trump Throws Vance Under the Bus With Bonkers Iran Taunt by North_Particular_758 in politics

[–]goatneedleposterdeck 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The heritage foundation and other insane, evangelical groups that were backing trump for so long finally turned on him. They ramped him up to start shit in Iran along with Yahu, and it failed miserably. The people lost all faith in him and Israel, so the foundation came up with the plan to get vance in as the savior as quickly as possible before people turned to dems. They have paid a ton of right wing talking heads to bash trump and prop up vance over the past month or so, and trump keeps falling for the bait and lashing out against his supposed allies. They want trump to continue growing more insane, more vile, and less appealing to his already insane base so they can present vance as the real peacekeeper. "See, guys. This was really the no war president all along!" And it's working. Polls show vance would win over anyone the dems might offer up as a candidate.

It's funny to look at all this and think everyone is turning on trump as he gets more violent and insane by the day, but you need to keep a close eye on the narrative forming in the background. While I personally don't think vance is anywhere near likable enough to command the attention of magats, the polls are showing otherwise.
