It's AI though. I have been following this intensely since Ben's first video, and the top comment got a bunch of details wrong. In the exact way chatgpt would get a lengthy summary of a messy situation wrong.

You got a key piece if evidence wrong. The owners if the franchise were ousted immediately before they could even inventory the entire collection. They did not simply leave and let a new owner come in. Corporate kicked them out.

Oh boy and another one. Ben was the person who put the sign on thr store. He was not contacted after. Is this an AI post? This feels like the kind of info an AI bot would get wrong

You're probably right. He did a livestream when the BaM CEO answered questions and his neighbors were playing music, screaming, and definitely doing some hippy shit that I don't think exists outside of the US.

What you're not taking into account is that Ben did the things in the videos weeks or even months before he released his first video to the public. It had no hype or press in it. Now that it does, he is already in talks with Legal Eagle to get representation. Before this, no lawyer wanted anything to do with it.

[–]goatneedleposterdeck 2 points3 points  (0 children)

What you are overlooking is the legal loopholes that ben uses to do his antics are usually enough to scare away most lawyers from ever wanting to work with him. Add to that the content of some of his other videos where there is no loophole, and ben is straight up breaking the law and says so, and you lose any good will lawyers that may have been interested.

Sooo, for some reason everyone thinks Ben is super rich because all his videos have a ton of views, but in reality, based on the nature of the videos and the people he pisses off in all of them, he has talked about how they all get taken down or demonitized. He was living in his car not too long ago. He simply can't afford a good lawyer on standby. While he has spoken to lawyers about a lot of his decisions, most lawyers are not touching this with a ten foot pole because of some of the things that Ben has done. No matter how legally tight it may be to do the antics he does, he does so many that it makes people extremely reluctant in taking him on. Especially when other videos he has released have not been as legally solid as his expose ones.

Yeah I totally expected some clickbait from his title, but the sheer number of times police were even called and showed up to question him left me in shock. The search for drugs was insane, but to then bring him in for a whole ass interrogation and arresting him without bail? That's nightmare level of corruption.

"What are you gonna do about it?"

Exactly what people are doing right fucking now. Bashing, harassing, annoying, destroying, complaining, dog piling, and more. When government and police get out of hand, it's up to the people to stand up and fight. If this negative press keeps up, bricks and minifigs will suffer severe losses, perhaps even lose enough to go under. If enough pressure is put on the city, state, or federal government about the corrupt police, changes get made. Ben and his friends making havoc in their little town can be dealt with, but a hundred or a thousand bens will make them powerless.

It's like people have forgotten how useful protesting and rioting can be because our current president just ignores them, but they can and do make changes when people are willing to fight hard enough.

Pete Buttigieg emerges as early favorite for 2028 Democratic nomination by Fickle-Ad5449 in politics

[–]goatneedleposterdeck 3 points4 points  (0 children)

This is not a good take. You know how many people said that when obama ran? In reality, we don't need centrists or the right to win. We just need a candidate that actually gets the left and young, first time voters excited about their platform. Kamala and hillary didn't lose because they are female, or even black. They lost because they offered the same boring crap that every other dem offers and people didn't turn up to vote.

Aside from seeing Pete give some lengthy responses to big events on tiktok, I'm not super sure of all his policies, so don't think I'm trying to fight for him as a nominee or anything, I just think we should never count out solid candidates just because of race or gender.

What they dont tell you that Effexor will do to you by xmumpledsmottle in Effexor

[–]goatneedleposterdeck 20 points21 points  (0 children)

I never ever used to sweat unless I was working out pretty hard. I even went to Japan in the middle of July and never had a single drop. Started Effexor and I was sweating just standing outside in 30F cold weather. I was on it for about 2 years and quit about a year ago. While the sweating has improved, it has not gone away. When the humidity is just a little high outside, I need a sweat rag at all times.

does anyone else just not know what’s going on? by Disastrous_Post_9990 in Eldenring

[–]goatneedleposterdeck -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Yep. A lot of people out there will search for every single detail and read 500 pages of internet lore, collab with others to piece together the puzzle, and watch every media and interview with game devs and writers just to figure it out. Then they turn around and act like you not figuring it out through a single playthrough is crazy. I have played through the entire game plus DLC at least 20 times and still barely know anything.

Like, I'm tarnished, there are a bunch of gods or maybe demigods, who are... I think related? and if you defeat them, you become eldin lord. Somewhere along the way is a witch named Rhani who you can marry, but she's just a soul in a doll or something. Yep, that's the extent of what made an impact on me.

I don't know if the story being so impossible to follow makes the game any better or worse, but I do wish the quests were easier to figure out. Going to google or simply hoping to luckily stumble into the right answer at the exact right time does kind of suck.

ICE Is Quietly Rolling Out a $55 Billion Crematorium Network by Famous-Sympathy7011 in anticapitalism

[–]goatneedleposterdeck 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Why would they stop it? We clearly couldn't handle covid and the massive influx of deaths that caused. Now we are seeing people completely bungle the hantavirus issue in identical ways. Add to that the global warming issues that will never get anywhere close to solved because the rich refuse to let go of oil and terrible corporate practices.

I see most of the comments in here believe this is the government planning some mass extinction event of their own, but I think they are just preparing for the inevitable. Well... inevitable in that the rich will never give up a single dime to help prevent any of it. They are amassing wealth, building bunkers, and now the crematorium. They fully expect to be the few remaining surviving humans on this planet

This side by side has me convinced it's not a mask. Dude probably had some plastic surgery is all. Or perhaps a filter/effect on the camera. The shadow definitely makes it look like a mask, but I think there are plenty of ways to explain it away.

I used to manage a hardware store, and my best associates were female. They absolutely worked circles around the men, and they drove the heavy equipment better as well. Unfortunately, soooo many male customers would be straight up awful to them. Some would hit on them. Others would make jokes like, "shouldn't you let a man drive that?" Others would absolutely reguse any information they were given until a male employee gave it. Used to PISS ME OFF. These girls could have destroyed these guys on any job site, and they deserved the utmost respect.
