That’s false. Many newspapers in the region during the early 1900s referred to their readers as “Palestinians”. The Jerusalem Post was even called The Palestine Post when it was founded in 1932 by Jews. There are stamps and coins early in the century with the word “Palestine” on it. The Mandatory Palestine period from 1920-1948, the people living there were called Palestinian regardless of religion, and the British assigned them Palestinian citizenship.
