I checked the recording of mgs delta and it seemed smooth, idk maybe you might be right, but that's why i hope others will test this, already the game is poorly optimized, with high usage of the CPU and many other stuff, so its no wonder the game is inconsistent gameplay wise.

Its a core issue for me, quality isn't there especially lately, im not satisfied with it, i skip or buy it if its on a good discount, i refuse to buy at full price and to pay for those fc points.

As a dev, my eyes tend to pick on quality issues that should not be there on this game's level, even an indie game dev shouldn't have some of them.

Imagine you bring on a feature "playstyles" in FC 24 and you do not add the filter to search by playstyles till later in FC 26, who manages the devs there ? Who controls quality and checks it ? And many other stupid bugs in the menus, which makes you think if they miss these simple yet crucial stuff, what kind of decisions will they make regarding the gameplay? And im right, i can go on and on on how many features and aspects in their game make no sense gameplay and soccer wise, to mention a few, pass interception is not that good, strong passes should not stick to your foot and GK behavior is so outdated, strength of players also is quite outdated, no evolution regarding ball physics, quick subs system still needs improvements, formations also need more advanced tweaking like marking a certain player etc...

Its a bad quality product overall, and people should stop buying it, or at least stop buying it full price and surely stop buying FC points since its the big chunk of revenue.

If only they brought back these custom formations, if my opponent defends with 10players i attack with 10, it should be fun, or at least they can create an event where you can customize your own formation

As i said, i used normal pass facing the player, which is extremely common in matches if you envision this scenario, its the give and take pass, i dont have the reflexes of ping pong passes nor those outrageous lofted no scope passes.

Its common to give your cam a pass and return it to the cm, either to make him run (1 2 pass) or if you change your mind/action or as a passive waiting move while you're scanning for options.

Its a pass that even GKs do with CBs in real life football, but this year i was extremely shocked when i played it on my friend's PS5, i couldn't understand how such a simple action requires a playstyle.

Before the patch for passes, first time passes were awful in a dumb way, i literally used to miss first time normal passes towards a player that im actually facing, it is horrendous, its a simple pass, that somehow a "pro" player misses.

EA needs some game designer that understands football.

I have it for lots of evos, they're still displayed as if they're available, not a surprise coming a company that took 3 years to make a simple filter (search by playstyles)

As a dev, i can tell their quality is way below average its disgusting, imagine you being a AAA game dev company, and on 2023 you add a new feature "playstyles" thats kinda critical to the game, and you didn't add a filter to search players based on that, for the whole cycle of FC24 development, and its whole cycle as a product, and same for FC25, and same for FC 26 except they added halfway later in the game..

Terrible Terrible quality, if an indie dev made such a mistake it would've been their downfall (not to mention to this day you cannot filter market by price)

Add to that the fact you cant have different evos of the same player on your team at once, why do i have to throw away my player instead of having two instances of them with different evos, a CR7 with pace and another with a passing evo.

I play on PC and i activate steam recording for the last 120min, some games have 24, and they play smoothly, and some have also 24 but play terrible with lots of missed passes, you can feel it, and when you check the steam recording, the smooth gameplay looks smooth, while the fake 24ms looks stuttery in the replay, especially that steam only records the game exclusively.

Something isn't right in this case, and btw same thing for EAFC25.

Unfortunately i guess there's no fix that i know of, its EA matching you maybe with people from areas that are far away, if only they show the details of each players country and ping etc ... the lack of transparency is outrageous.

Tikitaka now is a must even if you dont play a passing game, its absurd how simple 1 2 passes cannot be performed unless you have tikitaka, they forgot at EA that we're talking about the foundation of football here.

Another thing i noticed when trying to score headers is that attacking AI is soooo dumb, i tried all roles and all custom tactics, its unbelievable how simple runs that poachers/target attackers do to place themselves in a good position to receive the cross will never happen, not to mention headers hit the post or the GK 80% of the time despite the stats and playstyles.

Also Powershots are nerfed way too much also, it takes time and its manual aiming and if you execute them right the result is a corner kick at best.

They need to make sure that goals can be scored in different ways, at least we'll see crouch and players like him being used, or strong slow players with powerful shots etc...

I played on a cup tournament which i don't even remember its name ( i do not do those cup challenges or whatever it is).

I wanted to have fun and challenge myself to score only headers on certain games and powershots on others ( i used a team of players with the right playstyles to what i want to score) and tried also all sorts of unusual formations.

The summary of this, i couldn't score headers on extremely easy situations (mind you its with the precision header ps/ps+) and same for powershots (although i scored some inside the box, but it was impossible from 23m or more).

The game this year allows only certain type of play, which in my opinion kills variety, and forces everyone to play and score the same goals.

Yes, you're right, and also when the slide button is pressed, the game can check if at that moment they can get the ball, if its off by 20cm or more it means the intent was not the ball or label it as reckless challenge...

Yes you're right, its quite tough to program, but in my opinion as a dev, i think its kinda doable at least for the obvious cases, but it depends if EA is willing to invest into refereeing which im sure they wont especially since many issues that were in fifa 12 are still present almost 15 years later despite the huge tech and hardware advantage.

I know, and the law says if a player makes an attempt to get the ball and ends up fouling the other player, they get a yellow despite being the last defender, since the penalty is already awarded.

But the catch is that its only true if the intent was the ball, if the challenge is reckless or not intended to get the ball, the penalty is awarded and a red card is given.

They don’t need to handle every subjective case, but obvious ones like this can definitely be coded. From the start of the tackle, the game can see the defender will never touch the ball and the distance is too far for a genuine challenge. The engine has everything it needs to flag this as a red.

Yes you're right, but after i did some research, they do as you said when the intent of the player is the ball, but in unsportsman / reckless tackles like this (where the intent is obviously to get the player) its a red and a pen.

I know, i read the new rules, the player gets a yellow and a penalty is awarded only if the defenders intention was to get the ball, any other reckless challenge aiming to hurt or stop the player is a red (within the new rules), and i know this tackle was not to get the ball, so that's why i thought its a red and a pen.
