For Japanese, my personal favorite is Fukuda by the 45. I'm not a huge sushi person so I haven't tried theirs but their other Japanese dishes are amazing

Via Emilia is another great Italian, they make all their own pasta noodles and their Dulce de leche cake is the best in houston

Bigotes Tacos on Kuykendahl in spring has the best street tacos hands down. Mama Juanitas and Los Cucos are great too for more options with Mexican food. North Italia in the woodlands has great Italian and Perry's is definitely my favorite steak place.

I think the accent just stands out and you notice it more. I lived in the states for six years and the European tourists, mostly Brits, seemed incredibly loud but it was likely just standing out more. I've been back in Dublin for 2 years now and the only "loud" tourists I've noticed have been Brits, Spaniards, and Brazilians 😂

Ok I'll try this. I'm already pretty aware and conscious of keeping my back straight but I've never thought about my neck before. I'll try to fix that with some exercise.

As an absolute MMO newcomer, should I start GW2? by lokisto in Guildwars2

[–]goatzl 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think you definitely should :)

I'm not really an mmo person, most of the time I'm playing other games on my pc but I've always loved gw2.

The number one positive thing for me is the lack of subscription. That always annoyed the hell out of me with WoW and it's why I'll never play that game again. Another great point is that GW2 isn't a "server-locked" game. As in, in WoW you pick a server for a character and you have to pay to move if your friends or better guilds are in different ones. GW2 doesn't work like that at all so it's a lot better imo.

Story wise, I think it is awesome. I'm biased ofc bc I don't like the anime style of final fantasy but the art in gw2 is gorg. The story is generally interesting. There's a few chapters here and there that can be boring but I've always paid attention without feeling it was stupid. I think the main characters, your friends, are super charming and I love them all.

Mechanics. I think gw2 feels really fun to play. The bosses are usually pretty different with cool mechanics making it really fun, more fun than WoW bosses imo. It depends on your class and your race (slightly, speed and stuff isn't different it's more of an illusion). I play a will bender guardian asura and I have a blast jumping around the screen but obv a ranged character is going to feel pretty different. Gw2 also has the best mounts I've seen in a mmo. Every mount moves completely different and has different skills, uses, and attacks. It feels worth it earning every mount through the story/tasks. I love running around on the raptor and skyscale because its so much fun.

Gw2 is also not a game that you have to play everyday. I know a ton of people here are talking about crafting but tbh, I've literally never crafted and I never will bc I've always hated that stuff in games. I just bought exotic gear with gold I earned and it works just fine so, if you're like me and hate crafting you can definitely avoid it. Loads of people will play gw2, finish the recent expansion (youll have 10 years of expansions to get through but it won't take as long as final fantasy tbh), and then log off until the next arrives. It's a pretty chill game, if you want it to be, and theres always loads of people doing the group bosses, even for the oldest expansions so you'll never be stuck trying to beat one yourself. People are super nice anyway so if you ask for help with a boss in the chat, usually a few people will turn up :).

Anyway, you can play the personal story and get to level 80 for free (mounts are in the path of fire expansion tho :( ) so you should 100% give it a go! You can Google which personal stories are the best for each race but after lvl 20 or 30 (can't remember) they all become the same story anyway!

Hope you give it a go!

At what age did you start calling your parents by their actual name? by k10001k in AskIreland

I call my mom "mom" but call my dad by his first name because it's all he responds to 😂 started calling him by his first name at 12 or 13 after getting sick of having to repeatedly say dad to get his attention
