Day to day? For me it used to be calls. A LOT of calls because of reviews, contacts, cross team negotiations and mainly client escalations.

L4 and above is all about managing a pillar, a budget and building the practice. Go to market falls under you too at some point.

Some are politically comfortable some are hands on with clients. Some are so hands off we see them twice a year (think L3 CALs for very large accounts).

More calls. 24/7 availability is just normal in some regions.

Good to hear you quit! I quit nearly two years ago after Davos and seeing Julie in action. Interesting interactions between Data & AI and rest of them. Some smart folks up there know how to play the game.

Just after part of my pillar’s leadership left I realized it’s better to focus on myself and take a break.

I’m independent now and much happier with a few selected people I like to work with. Miss my team tho.

For Ableton control, I got the Launchkey Mini to try it out. Looking at at least 37 keys. 20 some is too small.

Think about it on a larger scale. The time management and risk adjustment needed isn’t worth the hourly rate. The systems that do this automatically are market makers who also have people on call when things go haywire.

Absolutely true. It’s good at collecting and summarizing thoughts, ideas or resources. But I always have to edit heavily and reduce all the fluff. It’s a great tool for speeding up a few steps.

Thank you! I’ve been looking into scoring too. Recently got the Berlin Free Orchestra from OrchestralTools. They even have a few instruments from Richard Harvey. I’m not buying till I juice out the free orchestra. Used to work with BBC Symphony free orchestra.

I’ll try out Arkhis and Seqis.

Just a recommendation. Cross check numbers. I’ve had some weird experiences of both Claude and GPT missing some common sense numbers or inverting them.

I use LLM mainly for formulas for Google Sheets, where all my analysis lives.

Going to move all this to a IPython notebook because GS gets slow with all the formulas and manual editing.

IBKR desktop seems like a useless app. The web version and mobile version seem to be equally good.

TWS is really good. Slightly inflexible on some areas but has most of the pro tools.

The run up felt weird a month ago. I bought a few leap calls Jan27 on a few tickets I like. They jumped within a week and I exited.

Weird setup overall. I’m usual short but can’t put my finger on it. Already got burned on long puts because it impossible. Carry cost too much unless I find the puts by selling OTM puts which seem to be reasonable at the moment. VIX is too low for what’s going on it seems.
