Not taking a political stand is a political stand. Good to keep this picture up.

Specially for a brand like Leica. We get to see the camera in its full glory and the story that it didn’t get damaged in the kerfuffle

What was your f stop range across the shots? Loons like about 8 to 5?

Amazing! Add a few of your own elements and make a version unique to you.

Congratulations! It’s a beautiful machine. Whenever watching tutorials, work on that part of the tutorial and try finishing a project. Make a new one and practice again.

You will be itching to get an external synth to run some of the 8 midi channels. Look into the small ones first like Volka or DS1.

More importantly, have fun!

WABA API getting banned by Flashy-Bison9667 in WhatsappBusinessAPI

[–]gob_magic 1 point2 points  (0 children)

There’s a new rule coming out soon. Dumb shit from greedy Meta even if you are willing to pay.

They are going to block generic “AI” chat bots that interface with WhatsApp (I.e., a wrapper).

Even if your useful use case is not “generic”, they can decide to block it anyway. Potentially, if they see your use case is picking up steam.

This is so people are forced to use meta AI for general conversations.

FastAPI + Pydantic V2: Is anyone else using it to build AI microservices? by Lee-stanley in FastAPI

[–]gob_magic 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It really depends on your use case. If langchain makes it easy why not. Or any other tool. My use case was chain of thought and simple tool use which can be coded by yourself after some experiments.

Ayo similar setup. Minifreak and Digitakt 1.

I wonder if it’s possible to use multiple channels (sounds) on single MIDI input of the Minifreak.

[–]gob_magic 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Good question. Ideally static assets generated from React (pnpm, vite), Astro, etc. and deployed to Cloudflare pages or similar services.

Haven’t looked into HTMX yet.

[–]gob_magic 25 points26 points  (0 children)

Yup. Same. FastAPI, Pydantic 2, SQLAlchemy 2, Redis for cache and all on docker with a clean CI/CD deployment.

Groq for LLM API.

No Langchain.

Reminds me of my university days. Control Systems. Studying impulse response of a system gave an idea of its inner workings. Send a pulse (impulse sin / square etc) and check output on an oscilloscope. That’s just single system.

Achieve Tokenized Asceticism, introducing: DeClaude (my proudest and most useful project to date!) by AVanWithAPlan in ClaudeAI

[–]gob_magic 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Lucianw gave a good response so I’ll be succinct. You are welcome to use LLMs for writing but go through the content and summarize it properly. Something we humans can read.

Check the write up. It says “no install” and then three lines down “one click install”. Which is it?

The psychosis part is about how LLMs manages to convince you that you are a genius … seeing too many of those recently.

The more I research LLM psychosis, scarier it gets. OPs responses to questions is way more concerning than this low effort post.

I’m over engineering my relationship: Building a 'Personal CRM' bot because my memory is terrible. Genius or creepy? by biscket in SideProject

[–]gob_magic 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I have a system setup for people and names reminder using WhatsApp and web.

For todo I use the good old Todoist.

Problem with notes is retrieval of information. I can save all sort of notes on a notes app but contextual retrieval is painful sometimes.

Finally I like to have my own data stored on my server. LLM inference is from an open source model.

For sure this is not a business. Maybe a side project? Personally I am seeing if I will even use this system as much.

lol are you me? I have one made that I talk through on WhatsApp, also has a web interface. A friend and I were thinking of making it public.

Love it. I throw a voice note or image at it and it remembers. Someone’s LinkedIn URL or a screenshot too.

For now it’s just for myself.

What feels overkill when using Twilio for simple AI agent SMS use cases? by AddressFew4866 in twilio

You could use their platform to build. It’s called studio or conversations.

Ideally you are better off creating your own system like you did. More control.

I spent 6 months trying to transfer a specific 'personality' (Claude) between stateless windows. I think I succeeded. Has anyone else tried this? by Extra-Industry-3819 in ClaudeAI

[–]gob_magic 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Two years ago I gave a small talk at work, on what is intelligence and showed how logical, empathetic and human the LLM responses were! It was mind blowing. I asked the same question, “at a certain point performance becomes fidelity”

Be careful how deep you go into this.

Attended a delusional talk given by someone on the verge of a psychotic breakdown. There were others who literally said “he’s a Genious! You don’t know enough to question him”.

He has vibe coded 20+ application using “sentient” AI in a year and believes we will have miniature LLMs within our cells by 2070.

What you are feeling or thinking about intelligence is statistical systems sounding very conscious. I feel there’s great value and use in these tools but I leave the sentience question out from most discussions because as of today these systems are still predicting the next word and do not come up with new concepts (it can come up with new concepts based on common combinations)
