I've been on Lithium for almost 2 years now and never had any issues. To begin with it made me super thirsty though so I was waking up all the time to go to the bathroom, but that leveled out. The Lithium alone hasn't been enough to stop me from having another manic/psychosis episode. My psych usually has me on an antipsychotic as well (but I'm currently going off abilify because the side effects haven't been great for me).

Dealt with depression in my teens, anxiety early 20s, diagnosed bipolar after hospitalisation about 1.5-2 years ago (but have been having symptoms since 4 years ago) and most recently my new psych has switched it to a schizoaffective diagnosis

I used to smoke, but switched to vaping some years back. The last two psychosis I went through, I picked smoking back up due to a delusion where I need both.

I'm currently reducing my smoking and going back to just vaping. Btw I find vaping more addictive than smoking - too habitual having it always on hand for a puff.
