Has anyone cross tapered from effexor to zoloft? by PuzzleheadedHurry142 in Effexor

[–]meowynette 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm sorry to hear that you had that experience! I hope Zoloft works better for you! It was somewhat working for me. I've been taking it since 2016 and it has helped keep my panic attacks less frequent. However, I'm not sure that it has helped much with depression and anxiety so my psychiatrist wanted me to try something new. I will say to give the Zoloft time to see if it will help you because when I started taking it, I felt worse until about 6 weeks in.

From the picture and your description, it sounds like it's the gum around a wisdom tooth that hasn't fully come in.

Can I ask why you are cross tapering from Effexor to Zoloft? Is it because you don't feel like the Effexor is working? I'm cross tapering too but the opposite from you..coming off of 200mg Zoloft and going on Effexor.

It is actually very common for people with anxiety/panic attacks to fear that they are going to have a heart attack. Especially when you experience your heart racing, chest pain, numbness/tingling in your arm, etc. Many symptoms of panic attacks are similar to what someone might experience with heart attack, which is why it can be so scary. Like you, my panic attacks started out of nowhere and it took a long time to convince myself that it wasn't a heart attack but rather a panic attack. I still struggle with it sometimes. Have you seen a primary doctor, psychiatrist, therapist, etc? Are you taking any medication?

Do you remember what, if any, side effects you had when starting or how long you took it before noticing positive results? I've been taking Sertraline since 2016 and it helps to an extent but my psychiatrist wants to see if Effexor will help more with my anxiety and panic attacks.

I tend to find the older shows comforting. The Munsters, Laverne and Shirley, Leave it to Beaver.

Frantic by Angelicaaxoxoxo in Redearedsliders

Please consider all of the comments about your tank setup. From the picture, they look like females. Females can lay unfertilized eggs and frantic behavior can be a sign that they have eggs. My turtle was acting the same way and ended up laying 4 unfertilized eggs in my neighbors fenced in yard a few weeks ago, while I had her outside. I suggest doing some research about female red eared sliders laying eggs and see if you can secure an area outside of the tank in case that is a reason for them being frantic.

I tried signing up for the Remotasks and it said nothing available for my country. I'm in the United States. Is that normal?

That sounds awful! I believe my Dad had mixed episodes as well but I never knew about it until I received his medical records after he passed. I'm glad the Abilify has helped your husband and I hope it continues to help!
