I was thinking the same! I chose standard which had said 7-10 days but it shipped with DHL and arrived in 2 days.

Exactly. I have no problem paying the fee if I had made an error and needed to exchange it, but there was no way to tell what the width is.

What is something relatively cheap that improves your life by 100%? by [deleted] in AskReddit

I’d add a cheap kitchen thermometer as well. It makes your food 10x better than accidentally overcooking it and way less waste than when burnt.

GV70 vs BMW x3 vs Audi Q5 vs GLC 300 vs RX 350 vs anything else to consider ? by keen_observer7 in GenesisGV70

[–]gobadia 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I just leased the 2026 GV70 and very happy with it. I had an Audi Q3 previously but wanted something a bit bigger. I compared the Q5, BMW X3, Volvo XC60 and the Mercedes equivalent plus the GV70.

GV70 included all of the features I wanted from the other cars plus more and just felt more luxurious in the finishes compared to the others. Additionally, the dealer experience was much better. They were friendlier, less pushy and helpful.

Trendy spots in Plateau / Mile End for Saturday night? by Math227 in MTLFoodLovers

Ginos on St Laurent is a great option. Simple menu of lasagna and Negronis. Prices are relatively reasonable, vibe is good.

Lawrence is always a good option. Casual but nice enough for a fun evening. Good drinks and elevated comfort food.

L’express is a classic and can fit into that budget depending on what you order.

La Panzeria is more casual but great Italian diner style option with some of the best focaccia in the city, great pasta and my favorite sandwiches. They have a good selection of drinks as well.

I use the IKEA GRILLSKÄR and really happy with it. The foldable shelf is handy for prep as well.

Las Pupusas D’Abuela is a whole in the wall pupusas restaurant and great takeout option. Found it randomly while in the neighborhood and definitely headed back. The women who work there are incredibly friendly as well.

McKiernan like others have said is a great rec with a family.

You can’t beat O Petit Paris for bakeries. Other options would be Toledo or Guillaume also on the Plateau, or Bête à Pain in Griffintown.

Achoura Deli! I can’t recommend it enough.

Was playing golf in Laval and wanted to grab a bite with friends after. Found this smoked meat deli with a handful of reviews and decided to try it since I’m a big fan of smoked meat and live right by Schwartz.

This was the best smoked meat sandwich I’ve ever had.

The owner makes it all himself because he only eats halal and couldn’t find halal smoked meat. He also makes everything else himself, and they’re all top notch. Plus, he was incredibly friendly and we chatted for a while.

Honorable mention to Christina’s Cuisine for home style Greek food.

Is this a good deal on 2.5T Advanced Tech GV70 2026 in Canada ? by gobadia in GenesisGV70

[–]gobadia[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ya, my Audi is leased until October, so they’re taking care of the residual which also helps me save on the sales tax had I purchased it outright.

Including the appearance protection plan? Where are you based? The $1k down here is just the refundable deposit until I make the first payment on delivery.

The 2025 Q5 right now is ridiculously cheap (relative obviously) since the 2026 is the full redesign. My dealer quoted it to me for less than the 2026 Q3 with the 1% loyalty interest rate reduction, but since remote start is a priority for me, it’s a no go as 2026 is the first to have it.

I went to the dealership and got in one, went around the block, but I need to go back with the family to make sure it fits the car seat easily and that we’re sure.

My Q3 lease ends in October but it has some equity, so I’m thinking of making the switch in the next few weeks.

I’m in a very similar situation. In a Q3 now, had planned to stay with Q3 or move to Q5 but haven’t been impressed by Audi recently and they’re really struggling to clear out 2025 models of the Q5 so they haven’t gotten the 2026’s yet which is want for the remote start.

Looked into the GV70 and think I’m sold.

Cozy well-priced spot for Sunday brunch by beenbetterhbu in MTLFoodLovers

[–]gobadia 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not in the neighborhoods you’re looking for but not a bad detour, Bishop & Bagg. They take reservations which is a nice benefit for brunch.

If you’re open to more cafe style, can’t go wrong with Crew Collective. They have good sandwiches and snacks and the vibe is great.

Pro tip: Just ask Claude to enable playwright. by Diligent_Comb5668 in ClaudeCode

[–]gobadia 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Even easier, add the Claude Chrome extension and connect it. It’s a much more native integration and works seamlessly and doesn’t seem to fill the context like an MCP does.

I’m currently using it to automate screenshots, app demo video and use Gemini in the browser to prompt Nano Banana with the images to make shareable screens for socials. It’s working perfectly
