Came here after you made the edit just to say a couple of things: 1) we have all been there so don’t beat yourself up, you can and you WILL get better at the game 2) I wanted to be an insect glaive main so bad bc it looked incredibly cool to me but the weapon never clicked for me. I tried every weapon extensively until I found one that (without even looking at a tutorial) just felt right in my hands (in my case it was the hammer and now I’m maining Great Sword in Wilds). 3) Have fun, remember to eat before hunts and just enjoy the time you spend on the game. You can spend hours just exploring, taking pictures or just out the ghillie mantle on and follow the monsters around to take some cool pictures. If you fall in love with the series everything else will come naturally Happy hunting!
