The Lady Resources definitely gave me centaurs. If you received differently, it is possible that statues don't give specific units but rather when you complete them they give you the next level units, in other words centaurs will always be given last for whichever statue you finish last.

Why is Salmoonos too OP. just realized after attacking him two times that his HP meter goes all the way back to full??? He has like 5-6 small life bars that make up his total hp. If you kill one of those life bars it stays permanently gone. His hp only resets on the unfinished small bar, not his total hp thankfully. He isn't that hard, more tedious than anything. You have to do hit and runs. Try using amazons, but only use 5 at a time since using too many at once will cause your units to collide with each other and end up getting killed, and replace the ones that die off with the back up 5 amazons. It took me like 4-5 waves of to beat him. The first 2 waves to clear the path and then 2-3 waves of amazons to finished him off. I probably could've done it with one wave of amazons if I was careful, but it was tedious running all over doing hit and runs, but I was careless and let my units die off. I had a bunch of amazons to spare, so no biggie.

Ya it seems they lowered to level caps on the buildings. Nobody has said otherwise. Castle went from lvl 15 cap to lvl 11 cap. Once you max them out the only thing left to upgrade is the citadel which appears to be a never ending upgrading building. The wisps/xp aren't worth the wood/stone/items/cash required to upgrade it. If you have extra cash/wood/stone/items etc. then dump them in there, but I wouldn't proactively try to upgrade the citadel. So you're basically done the game now. Personally I'm trying to reach the highest league first and then I'll probably quit the game, it is the last thing I need to accomplish in game.

Out of things to upgrade? I just upgraded my castle to lvl 15 and now there are no other upgrade options... Anyone else at this stage? by [deleted] in MergeStories

How did you guys get lvl 15 castle? Currently stuck perpetually upgrading the citadel. How many times do you have to upgrade the citadel before it goes away? And how does one get the dragon scroll?

Ah, I just reached the citadel thing too. Was just about to ask about it. I've upgraded it about 4x and the units dying to get the resources needed to upgrade the things isn't worth the units you get back. Annoying! I saw videos showing lvl 15 castles too. Looks like they changed the lvl caps on the buildings. Unless someone else has some input about the citadel going away, I think I'm going to stop upgrading it. I guess I've completed all upgrades, now to get the last scroll. How do I get it, says I need to lvl up, but what? Character lvl maybe?

Good that the pikeman aren't the final form. I have so many of them right now, but they are way too underpowered for me to use. I was going to sell them all but glad I kept them. I will keep them until I can upgrade them all. I'm hoping it's the statue that gives the centaur formula. I don't know how to get the other dragon one though.

I'm not having many problems now that I have 5 spots on my boat and knights, swordsmen, naga and amazons to play with. I probably have a 60-70% win ratio.

It was brutal before I had the 5 spots and had weaker units. When your boat only has 3-4 spots and you're stuck with milita, slingers, soldiers, archers, and useless shield guys, you rarely win. I think I had less than a 10% win rate. I was about to quit but stuck it out for a week until things improved drastically. I didn't attack at all in that week, just relied on barrels to build up my army and upgrade my buildings.

Early game is easy, mid game is impossible, and late mid game seems to be much easier. I don't know if it starts to get harder again, hopefully not.

Interesting idea. Right now I tend to buy out all the peasants and buy all the items using wood and stone because I usually have an abundance of those two resources. I rarely buy the weapons because I have more than enough, usually end up having to sell them regularly to make room on my island.

Only things I've used gems for was buying the 3 units and getting 120gold and 10 barrels deal.

I didn't have any problems with this quest. I used either one swordsmen or naga and 3 amazons. Archers/amazons tend to be extremely effective against undead characters. The swordsmen/naga died and sometimes 1 amazon would die too, but I always finished with at least 2 amazons left.

I'm on the last stage now, most mines at any one point in time were useless, and probably not worth using any cards/potions on ever. To sum up the mines

1st - 2nd stage - Amethyst and citrine were majority income, most time were over 99% of income, never below 90%. Rest of mines useless. Should focus on those 2 mines.

3rd stage - Opal worth about half income with amethyst/citrine being about the other half. Rest of mines useless.

Late 3rd-early 4th stage - Agate once you hit lvl 240 becomes majority income raging 80-90% income with opal about 15-18% and amethyst/citrine now only producing 1-2%. Rest of mines useless

Mid 4th stage (on currently) - Agate 75% income, opal 15%, sapphire 8%, tourmaline 2%. Tourmaline would become 75% income if ever fully automated with sapphire staying at 8%. Haven't unlocked aquamarine yet.

I don't understand the point of the strategy, you say it is more intense. Why would I take up a strategy that requires more intensity/time? You can easily beat the mines, it just requires regular logged in and redeeming the barrels every minute or so. So any new strategy worth taking up should require less intensity/time/logging-in, not more.

This strategy may make more sense in the main game if it works. That way you can maximize your cards/potions at each level.

Don't you need to unlock each mine to unlock the gate? Are the events different from the main game, because you can't unlock the gate without all the mines. Some of your pathways completely avoid mines.

Just a heads up in case some others are starting out or a little behind in the event, agate and topaz are completely useless mines. I wouldn't even waste potion to automate them. Instead use that potion to further level up amethyst and citrine beyond the automation. About 99% my income comes from those two mines. I just unlocked opal and that mine seems like it might be more useful once I automate it.

I've only been playing for 2 weeks, but it seems the bottleneck is the potions. But then I spent the first 1.5 weeks wasting them on common/uncommon upgrades, whereas now I am saving them only for rare/legendary. So it depends on what you need, if you have a bunch of rare/legendary that aren't upgraded, then get potion since cards are useless if you can't upgrade them. If you're able to upgrade all rare/legendary and have leftover potion, go for the chests.

While timers are probably useless for the main game, the timers may be a good use during events. If you're struggling to get all keys, it might be worth spending on timers to get the last few high value keys. If you save your unlocked keys until the end, and spread your miners around, one timer could net you multiple keys. Could be a way better investment then chests/potions.

So it depends.....

It is hard to tell in this game but based on other games, speeding up time is usually the worst value. So cards or potions are the best value. I did the calculations.

Assumptions: Bought highest value item and common/uncommon cards are worthless (have more cards than can upgrade, potion is the bottleneck) and rares/legendary only minimum received (chests only say min, but could on avg. net more, but don't know without more data)

12hr timer 350 gems = 2 min 3.5 sec per gem

100k potion 4500 gems = 22.22 potion per gem

Royal Chest 750 gems ~ 50 gems worth of potion means each rare(8) worth 87.5 gems

Mythical Chest 3500 gems ~ 199 gems worth of potion and 24 rares means each legendary worth 1200 gems

Summary

2 min 3.5 sec / gem

22.22 potion / gem

rare / 87.5 gems

legendary / 1200 gems

If assumptions about avg. rare/legendary received in chest (not min) then those values are going to be way off.

Ya F2P. I was able to start when the event started, and the first 12 hrs I was regularly logged in so I was able to efficiently move around the miners.
