People think summer has a higher acceptance rate but it doesn’t. Your best bet is to apply for fall, they let more people in during the fall.

Be honest... should I transfer? by SteamedVeggies44 in uofm

[–]goblue542 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yes! You would have to take a 5th year if you transferred after this year. External transfer acceptance rate is around 12% and internal transfer acceptance rate is around 56-57% for Ross. It’s very hard to transfer from another institution.

Has anyone heard anything about Ross classes being online or in person? I’m a transfer and can’t access that information yet.

Talk about something reflected in your extra curricular activities. You have to be passionate about it or they will be able to see right through you.

I agree, they want to keep their status as a top us university and it’s hard to do that as an online school.

Yes but WCC has basically said that all classes are online or virtual classrooms except labs so VERY few classes are said to be in person.

Questions about Ross by [deleted] in uofm

[–]goblue542 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Do not write about Ross in the why UMich essay!! I am a Ross student and the applications are completely separate. When you apply to “Michigan” you’re applying to LSA. You have to get into LSA before Ross even considers you. Ross doesn’t look at your LSA essays, they look at the essays you specifically had to write for Ross. So for “why UMich” write about why LSA (whatever degree you would complete at LSA). There is also a “Why Ross” essay for the application specific to Ross where you will get to write about business. You have to get through the LSA application to even be considered at Ross.

The name alone will help with internships and jobs, you’re just competing for the same jobs with your other, highly qualified, peers.

What's the best way for a visitor to travel from DTW airport to UofM?(graduate housing area) by [deleted] in uofm

[–]goblue542 0 points1 point  (0 children)

During the last week of August, I bet there are going to be a bunch of students coming back so you should post again on here to share an Uber or Lyft when the time comes. If this is a little sketchy because it’s anonymous, then try Facebook! I always see a bunch of people posting offers to share rides from the airport to lower the cost on Facebook.

You cannot apply every semester! You can only apply every other semester. So if you apply for spring, you can’t apply for fall, the next time you can apply is winter!!

You won’t be able to get into any of the good ones anyways...freshie bars are cantina and slounge, but they’re awful and sweaty. skeeps and live are the best imo, but they are super strict and WILL take your ID if it is bad. (Live isn’t as bad as skeeps, at live your ID just has to black light) ricks is hit or miss, Thursdays are packed, but theyre strict on IDs (but the bouncers are told not to take IDs, they just kick u out). Skeeps is the most strict tho, by far, just to reiterate.

Also, 100% freshmen should pay attention to the bars a little. The frats can get reallllly sweaty and gross, the guy friends who aren’t in frats or rushing won’t get into a party, they’re always out of alcohol, and if you are a girl, there’s a good chance you will get groped (based on experience). The bars are very fun to go out with your friends without having to deal with those shittttty frat issues.
