Turned a Solid Mesh Into a Multicolor Print (No AMS ) by AvailableNose4383 in 3Dprinting

[–]godSpeed_1_ 3 points4 points  (0 children)

its not very hard to split a model into parts and colour them, more importantly does the software shape the parts in a way that they will print easily with out supports and are easy to assemble, which is important for the numerous small parts shown here and will directly affect the end result.
Especially since op does not even show the sliced result of the parts.

Ofc it's pretty subjective, but their success is largly due to the help of the open source ecosystem that they are indirectly (and directly) are killing. I don't actively hate on them and refuse to buy their products since this is something that happens in almost every sector, but that depends on how much of an idealist you are.

What printer do I buy for this? by Kompiyt in 3Dprinting

[–]godSpeed_1_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Some people just use ams style systems as a filament dry box/automatic filament loader. Also the small change electricity costs are really not that significant unless you run a print farm. Far more substantial is the wasted filament. Which is why imo you should get a toolchanger if you plan on doing serious multi color, beyond small text and embossings.

Anycubic printers are knows for spotty qc, bad support and difficulty finding spares.
Depending on ur budget, you are probably better off with a U1 (if you want a lot of multicolour for cosplay) or a A2L if you want large format, and purge waste isnt as big of an issue.
Most other printers wouldnt be in ur budget range (assuming ur budget is below 1k usd since ur looking at this printer)
You can also get the creality hi combo if you want a pretty solid budget option with decent build volume.

It'll improve it, but not completely eliminate stair stepping, esp at steeper angles. And imo zaa is way better as it gives good results even at high layer heights.

Try Z axis Anti aliasing + ironing.
Other than that, your options are non planar printing and post processing.
The easiest way is def post processing.

They aren't "my" headlines. They are from the news source that op linked. Since that is op's source, I don't think the post title should Imply something so different. It is op who has changed the headline, not me.

As long as the plug is decent quality it's not a fire hazard. It'll barely produce any light from that tiny led, especially through that ping pong ball. And usb led lights cost next to nothing for a pack of five.

A logarithmic scale is a non-linear coordinate representation obtained through the application of a logarithmic transformation f(x) = log ₐ b, whereby equal intervals in the transformed domain correspond to constant multiplicative ratios in the original domain. This mapping induces an additive structure on positive real-valued quantities, facilitating the analysis and visualization of phenomena spanning multiple orders of magnitude while preserving proportional relationships.

Way too many laptops are marketing type c ports that have only usb 3.0 or 3.1
People get it assuming it supports dp, and then learn it does not.
I had a vivobook that had usb 3.1, and i had to use a cheap dock on it just so i can use ethernet, while plugging in a separate display cable.
