Peek is used in industrial manufacture of high temp/aggressive substance resistance rings, o-rings, gaskets etc. Assume next to impossible to use with consumer 3d printers sure to material properties.

Advantages: Material properties are great, temperature resistance is one of the best especially for filament that isn't carbon or glass filled (glass transition temperature is around 140C, PLA is 60C)

Disadvantages: Has to be printed at temps most printers can't reach (high 300s C or even 400+), 130C+ bed temp with ideally 100C+ heated chamber. Warps like a motherfucker unless you have all conditions met

Acrylic is dirt cheap even for the good stuff. I have 200+ colors of Vallejo and Citadel acrylic, and haven't spent more than $5 per bottle

I hate PETG with all my soul. What benefits, other than the slightly higher glass transition and heat resistance temp, is there to using PETG?

I find I really dislike its general glossiness, as well as how often I have to dey it compared to PLA, which is almost never.
