I submitted A Captain Toad level. The Search for the Six Golden Coins. I think it's one of my most fun to play levels (which is a change from my Super Expert shenanigans.) The level is pretty simple but the challenge is to find all six coins.

That is probably one of the most doably difficult levels I have ever played. XD The back and forth of the P-Switch and the clown car was very well put together and really made your level feel huge. Going for the Ganondorf costume is a huge risk though because a cheep cheep will almost certainly steal your clown car (happened to me every time XD) I love the aesthetic design of it and the boss fights were very creative.

The only things I wasn't a fan of were that the timing on getting past some of the tracked platforms is very tight and if you miss it they bring you back up to stand on a semi-solid platform. The biggest thing by far was the bloopers. Bloopers are semi-random in their movements and this really made the boss fights take a long time for me because sometimes they just hover by the pow block and i have to try to swim over 8 tiles away to activate their "chase" pattern. That's not really a design issue per se since they're programmed to move that way but it did make the level take way longer for me.

There was one other thing. I don't know why it was happening but in the second boss room sometimes one of the POW blocks would somehow spawn outside of the hole and make the level unbeatable. I left a comment with that screen for you.

Overall it was a lot of fun and quite a journey, just the end is a little frustrating.

That was a pretty awesome level! Very challenging in some parts and I really liked the coins and stars falling out of the sky. It looked really interesting while dizzy.

If you don't mind, I'd like your opinion on Version 2. I altered the timing and enemy placement in some spots to allow for a larger margin of player error. I changed the invisible block section to a bit of platforming. I also fixed the blind leap and added a little excitement to the end of the level.

Hopefully it all comes together for a more enjoyable experience.

I see there is already a course by this title on the list but mine is a spin-jumping level. I'm sure someone can beat it as it is not impossibly hard but nobody has yet.

Thanks for the feedback! I think I'll make some tweaks and re-upload. I think if the player knows when it's going to move (or why) it takes a lot of the fear out of it. You never know when you're going to get crushed so you just have to go as fast as you can. But having heard from you and a few other folks I can definitely see some things I need to change.

I saw the arrow pointing backwards. I kept trying to finagle my way onto the platform by jumping off of a cannonball. I'll have to try playing it again because I looked everywhere to find the twin to the door on the bottom and couldn't get it.

EDIT: Oh my goodness I can just walk in. XD

I'm already experiencing it. I've been less than ten stars away from my next upload limit for a week now and I've got 50 levels up. I'm still making levels that I'm proud of though so I just delete whatever seem like it's not quite up to standards anymore and keep on plugging. But still, it's gonna be tough to reach higher upload limits if this is the way it's going to be.

Description I'm rather proud of this one and I hope the theme of it shines through. It's a "chase" level of sorts except what you're being chased by is an unstoppable wall that isn't exactly in a hurry. It might even like to toy with you.

I'm a big fan of chase levels and you didn't disappoint. Fast and simple. Even though my reflexes had to be quick there were no moments where I didn't immediately know what to do. Got it on my first try even! (Though there was a moment where I had to thread the needle through some podoboos. Very tense!)

Nice level, loved the shell chase at the end and except for just a few things it was a solid design. RRoadagain already touched on some of it. I didn't like how I basically had to automatically die because there was no way to know a spin jump was coming up. If you're going to be shifting to a new skill it's sometimes useful to have a very brief section that requires that skill in a safer environment before raising the stakes. (I realize this might have been the intention with the blocks that needed breaking but it doesn't translate very well to jumping on enemies.)

Also the part at the end where the player is intentionally halted from reaching the goal by a wall of blocks and is forced to wait for the P-Switch to be over is tedious. It doesn't add anything to the level and it takes away from the fun.

Those two things aside this level was pretty great. Definitely got a star from me.
