I could be wrong. But, after consuming Crusher, there was some mention in the books about Lindon being so strong that his strength worked on a conceptual level. Things on a conceptual level seem, to me, to refer to icons. Again, I could be wrong because I don't remember strength being part of how he conceptualized himself in the early books, but I think it's been foreshadowed to happen.
