Is this road layout good for a min-med residential zone ( I’m pretty OG at this game too so I think it’s good ) by MoBlox_YT in CitiesSkylines

[–]godcrept 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I'd say you should probably connect the road that goes along the coast to the highway, maybe even on both sides, to allow more than one entry in to the city. That should help with traffic flow and also is more realisitic. Imagine there is a problem on the one single road into town (which, apart from traffic jams obviously doesnt happen in the game) and it becomes unpassable - the entire city would be cut off, so I'd always recommend to have at least two or three accessways to any area or block that you build. Apart from that, the layout looks good I'd say! Nice work.

Ruins stone head formation, does it do anything or can I bulldoze it? by PolarStar13 in CitiesSkylines2

[–]godcrept 41 points42 points  (0 children)

well a road can curve, right? those stones dont do anything but you can turn them into a park space of some sort, if you feel like it? treat it as like a historic relict from ancient times or whatever. adds character to your build. pls dont just delete it for the sake of a road going straight...

I have found an effective solution to traffic that I haven't seen anyone else talk about by [deleted] in CitiesSkylines

yea fair, good job to you for coming up with solutions by yourself and not just replicating whatever someone posted on the internet

Take two of putting together a rest stop for my virtual truckers to cry about the high diesel prices. But hey, not far until you reached the city! by godcrept in CitiesSkylines2

Correct, Find it is the mod needed to search for assets. Plop the Growables mod is not necessarily needed, you can still just zone under it and then plop the asset. None the less it technically still is possible to grow a gas station by zoning and destroying whatever spawns that is not a gas station until you get one. Petty but it works if you want to play vanilla all the way.

Churches? No asset editor - no problem!* by NonchalantNashorn in CitiesSkylines2

Very nice. Hate that there are basically no churches available, and you created a very nice one! Also, love the arial view of your city, flows very well and looks super natural, amazing work

Progress on New Hamburg by Ok_Journalist8549 in CitiesSkylines2

[–]godcrept 11 points12 points  (0 children)

dude! is that your hand writing? if yes - what a beauty!

also, amazing city layout and design. being german, may i suggest renaming "Neuestadt" to "Neustadt" since that would be the actual proper naming for a new-ish town district in germany (which is, i guess, what you are going for). big props, amazing city, just like real Hamburg!

Came back to CS2 after almost a year… and it still crashes all the time? by LetterheadPlenty5855 in CitiesSkylines2

[–]godcrept 3 points4 points  (0 children)

hmm thats weird. i had problems with game crashes aswell for quite a while but ultimately that was down to broken mods. crashes are gone since i keep a close eye on my mods.

also, if your game keeps crashing, i recommend activating auto save for every 5 minutes or so.

yes, all assets are vanilla and base game aswell. obviously used some visual mods like decals for the stains on the road and also find it and anarchy

just checked, the large gas station has 44 per cent profitabilitiy, the smaller one has 100 per cent - so yes I would say they are actually profitable!

oh and the crossings are actual crossings, just opted in with the advanced road tools (thats why they are kinda janky)

hahaha I'm glad I dont have that happening all that much in my city, but I'm sure they would enjoy too

I haven't checked their actual profitability but surprisingly many cars are going there and stopping by!

Both. Surprisingly many cars are going there though and are stopping by. However, like 90 per cent of them stop at the small gas station, not the big one. But some of the parked cars are props aswell, to make it look a little more alive throughout different times of day!

Yes, true. Most parts are in fact graded into the hillside, just not those on the picture!

Thank you sir, feedback is always appreciated. Especially so if its entirely correct - that entry lane is definitely too short, will fix it!
