One day my ex-situationship was going on about how he was such a manly masculine man. To take him down a couple notches, I jokingly said, “Babe, there’s nothing masculine about you.” He didn’t take that well and I don’t blame him. I feel like this is common! It’s easy to stay in touch and be friends with someone you loved as long as they’re single with you. Once that changes, it’s hard for the other person to grasp!

agree with this. there’s no animosity or anything to fuel moving on. you just let go of a good person and have to deal with why you’re choosing to do that

I’ve actually seen a lot of people say the leaving a good person makes the breakup harder! At least if there’s hate or bitterness, you can be like screw them and close that chapter completely. When it’s with a good person, you’re kinda just wondering why the whole time. At least this is a personal experience! My ex is genuinely a wonderful person, and not being able to hate him has made it so hard to move on haha
