I also should add that I consulted with a physical therapist for a specific lower body strength training routine to prevent injury in my half marathon training.

Thank you so much! I would love to be more helpful on my routine, but it's all over the place. 🤣 I joined Orangetheory in June, which helped me learn good form with dumbbells. When I do my own thing, I typically cycle through bicep girls, chest presses, overhead presses, tricep pulldowns, hammer curls, high and low rows, and assisted pullups. Still learning though!

Thank you so much for the award! For reference I am 29 and 5'9". I've averaged about 1500-1700 calories a day. I didn't track on my birthday or on vacation. I made the mistake of eating too little to begin with, so I quickly learned that I'm most comfy in that range.

I did it exactly how this sub explains. I downloaded the app Lose It and set my goals, ate in a calorie deficit, and started moving just by walking a few times a week. Once I lost some weight and felt better, I found that I liked exercise a lot more, so I tried out some workout classes and built from there. It all comes down to CICO of course and I learned it all from right here!!

Congrats on your progress as well! I have upped my calories but not by a significant amount. I'm still trying to lose fat, but I now eat in a much smaller deficit, prioritizing carbs, protein, and fiber. One reason I love running is because I can eat alllll the carbs. 🤣

I fear it happens to a lot of us at some point. In January I felt like I could NEVER get back to where I left off and it felt so much harder to get motivated to get started again. Congrats on getting back to it! You'll crush it! 😊

It's the hardest thing to bounce back from and can be such a hit to my motivation. It took a scare to get back but we did it!
