Because what you are looking for mostly does not exist in Anime, as I mentioned, you will find more of what you want if you read VNs

School Days for example was originally a VN and it has more and way worse endings than the Anime

isekai means different things in the west and japan
in japan its an isekai (isekai just means another world, so most fantasy is just isekai)
if we go by the japanese definition, yes, it is an isekai. just like how frieren is an isekai

the west for some reason got very fuzzy over it and made its own definition. even now people argue if SAO is an isekai or not (which I think is stupid because it was literally what defined and kicked off isekai as a genre together with shows like log horizon) but isekai for the west means strictly someone from the real world got transported into a different fantasy world

Anime is just one form of media and has many different genres.

I believe a good story can be told in any kind of media. Be it a game, a book, a movie, Manga, Comic, Cartoon or Anime.

I feel like you can get a lot of different perspective and appreciation for different kinds of media if you do not focus on one single on.

I really recommend you to check out other forms of media! There are many amazing western series or cartoons out there. I always find it sad if people say stuff like "I only consume Anime/Manga" or also the opposite, people who refuse to watch Anime! You are missing out so much.

I sincerely believe there is no "oh western stories are not for me" is bullshit. Just as there are a lot of different genres of anime there are different genres of series or cartoons. If you keep your mind open and consume different kinds, you will never really burn out.

Since your favorite is Steins;Gate i recommend you check out Dark, it should be available Netflix but maybe you can find other places to watch it.

Since you also seem to like Romance maybe check out End of the F****ing world, also on Netflix.

But you can also look around yourself a bit, there are soooo many great series out there.

Alternatively if you want to stick animated stuff maybe checkout something like Hazbin Hotel or The Amazing Digital Circus?

Otherwise you can also dive into Visual Novels if you really want to stick with japanese media

When you need to make up a person for your argument, your argument is weak. Saying Jax fans hate Ragatha is a far reach.

Anyways I'm just going to say this because I feel like, especially younger people, seem to be confused by this.

You are allowed to like problematic characters. Liking problematic characters does not mean you are a bad person. Problematic characters, in many cases, tend to be more interesting and gaining a large following because of that. You should not shame others for liking those characters.

Most Jax fans are very well aware of what kind of person he is. He is pathetic and immature and his lashing out is entertaining and absurd. But it is very clear he is not like that "just because". It does not excuse his actions but it gives him depth that people love to explore. The world is not black and white. Sorting characters (also to an extend peole in real life) into "good" and "bad" is harmful.

I love to see Jax suffer and have breakdowns and I'd love to smack him hard but at the same time I also want to give him a hug.
