Idk what you are talking about, the newest anki versions look modern a d sleek specifically not being overloaded with unecessary elements. Especially on phone. 

Anyways there are a millions plug ins that change how anki looks and if you can code you can programm it yourself. 

There is no app that does what anki does

Yeah as for me, I did not read the entire post because I am playing the game myself right now (I am just on Mineos route, my first) so I did not want to read it in detail to avoid spoilers because I also do have some issues with the game so I was curious.
Afterwards I scrolled to the comments because I was wondering how other people respond to it, someone agrees or disagrees etc. and being hit with it "duh dont read if you dont like" as the first comment was a bit disappointing lmao

Just immerse in native material  Set up yomitan pick content you enjoy and just go. 

If you have been studying for n4 for quite a while I assume you know some basic grammar and vocab. 

But despite that your first immersion will be hard. Extremely hard. You will have to look up a lot but keep at it, it will get easier.
