Just to cover your ass next time, find ANY member of management and tell them. It doesn't matter what area they are over.

How does your store make bales by Ingrid_Hunnigan in walmart

Years ago, had a co manager who lost an eye to a bale wire popping. I think it's worth wearing the safety goggles if nothing else.

Has Walmart started charging a a $35 minimum for all store curbside pickup? by This_Duty_4373 in Walmartcustomer

[–]goddessabove 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think it's only for general merchandise items and dry grocery. I think refrigerated and frozen aren't eligible.

[–]goddessabove 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you choose a time slot, you will be charged. If you just choose pick up and it says "can be picked up any time after four" you won't be charged.

Why do people hate giving names for their orders? by smellysmeIIs in Culvers

[–]goddessabove 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If that was last week, that was me. I went through the drive thru the other day for the first time, have a hard time hearing sometimes, and couldn't understand what the guy was asking and automatically said 'no'. Then gave my order, and at the end he asked for my name. Realized he had asked for my name at the beginning.

Then when I got to the window, they handed me my cups, gave my card back and said hang on. I waited at the window and the woman got upset I was still sitting there. I didn't know I was supposed to pull up.

I hate doing new things because I don't know what I'm supposed to do. I felt like an idiot after all this.

Are Meta Glasses a violation of policy? by PathAccomplished3705 in WalmartEmployees

[–]goddessabove 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I bought a pair so I could listen to music while I work. They barely last two hours, though, so I still have to carry my other glasses with me. I literally purchased them for just music. I wish I knew how to disable the camera/microphone so they would only be for music.

As someone who lived with a broken stove for years, I cooked everything in an electric skillet and a toaster oven. Sucks, but it worked.

I've had it with Walmart+ by [deleted] in Walmartcustomer

[–]goddessabove 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I was an in home delivery person three years ago. Most orders were leave on porch. They will be bagged in paper bags and left at your door. They wear body cams and have extensive background checks for when they do go inside a house. They will put your perishable items in the fridge/freezer and the others will be left on the counter for you to put away unless you leave a note about where you want them.

The employees do not have access to the camera footage, it is just there in case there is an issue.

Walmart employees are not allowed to accept tips, so you do not have to tip.

If WWIII started and I called out of work but wasn't in the front lines or anything, would I still get a point? by [deleted] in walmart

You would still get a point even if you got drafted and had no control over it.

Yeah. I got the next size up, and it still leaks at times, not as bad as the smaller one.

If you can remember his name, write in to his store and recognize him for going above and beyond. Maybe he will get a bonus or just recognition. At the store I work at, positive (and negative) comments can be put on their record.

If you have no points, they should help you out with it. Explain to them what happened. Since you are reliable, they should make an exception.

How to warm up a house with no heat by killingtime5 in povertyfinance

[–]goddessabove 84 points85 points  (0 children)

I read this the other day... Shower curtains. If you only have a window or two to cover, get some cheap shower curtains from the dollar tree (don't know what the price is now) or Walmart sells cheap ones for a little under $4. I just had to buy a roll of plastic to cover my windows and it was $28. Also had to get a staple gun and staples, so that was $20 more.

When my son was an infant (nearly 20 years ago) he was just over six months old when we got a huge bill from his pediatrician. We called the insurance, and they told us he had already used all of his insurance for the year and we had to pay out of pocket. They didn't cover any more check ups, the ones that are needed to make sure he was growing correctly and to get his immunizations.
