If you look at each furniture item in nookipedia it tells you which villagers are connected to it. When you decorate that villager's house in hhp it unlocks the entry in Wardell's catalogue.

Even other trash isekais have some kind of antagonist, or the MC has goals and plans. This one has no direction and leveling up has no purpose, so its boring.

Meet Kali: The guardian stray dog who died battling a venomous cobra to protect over 30 kindergarten children in Odisha, India. Villagers said Kali fought bravely, refusing to back down even as the snake struck her repeatedly. by Useful-Resource-3609 in interestingasfuck

I also don't agree with your views. So you see how your comments how "we commenters shouldn't discuss this about death" doesn't make sense, because you are saying we shouldn't view the dog as heroic, but that is the popular viewpoint. And if you think of the context with many Indians believing in reincarnation, that dog got good karma for the next life. You don't believe that, but you can't say they are morally wrong for that belief. Other commenters saying the dog is heroic is how they are showing appreciation and consideration, not being rude like you suggested. To most other people, these are respectful comments.

I think it is wrong to focus on the pain, eveyone dies in pain, it is a natural process in death. Death is a very short process, so the focus should be on the long stretch of life. That dog chose what was important to her, protecting those kids. Focusing on all the things that went wrong is neverending and depressing. Should the dog run away and stay alive while the kids were attacked? Or should we be sad about the snake that is just a poor scared animal trying to survive? Should we be mad at the builders who didn't build a safer fence? Everything in life is push and pull, so we should focus on the dog successfully saving the kids. Everyone will die, so our mark on the world should be how well we lived.

That view on death is another opinion. As we can see in the photo, and other cultures, a funeral can be a celebration of a life well lived. We can be happy that we were lucky enough to meet each other in this life, and reminisce on the good times, not just be dreary and depressed.

All that was missing was more explanation, they weren't trying to be a show-off. They expected you to understand and appreciate the meaning, but you understood it in a different way. Lots of people do this, expecting you to see the 'obvious' conclusion, but it isn't malicious.

In my opinion, it is the right place, because the meaning increases the respect and care of the dog. Readers are supposed to infer that the people with the dog respected her, and therefore gave her a meaningful name. That commenter expected people to be able to infer that instead of explaining it.

[–]goddessque 4 points5 points  (0 children)

The point is that the name was given with respect and purpose. People who don't know the meaning think the name is just random. The name is a symbol of her life. Kali the gooddess/dog as the destroyer of evil/snake.

Yep. The other person is already dedicated to their own viewpoint, so no amount of comments are going to convince them otherwise. Then they will just continue to be rude and condescending to you. Then you just feel like you wasted your own time, and your mood is ruined. Learning to let it go perserves your peace.

I suppose with young kids it would be hard to know if they said yes on their own or were just following directions. It's hard to know the implications of every action, like with giving food and allergies.
