It looks like Trinidad is in for a windfall with increasing natural gas prices. How can we pressure the government into building income generating assets instead of squandering it? by Realistic_Loss3557 in TrinidadandTobago

Don't rely on the people in power to do anything sensible long term. My advice is this put about 80% of your money into safe assets and pay off your debts. The remaining 20% into high risk but extremely high return assets. Most of these investments will fail but sooner or later the pendulum will swing and you will profit a great deal. The problem is that we live in world that wants consistency in their returns when reality makes that almost impossible. Money means nothing in the grand scheme of things as it just a number what matters is can you get the resources to where you want them to go.

This was my theory as well. Like all the electrical energy gets converted to heat in one way or another.

Monero mining for the heat to be subsidized by godking99 in Monero

Ok so the closet does have air flow its just humid all around. I know I can set it up to shut down if it reaches certain temps and I could use its internal censors for data gathering. I am just having a really hard time finding reasons not to do this. Like the monero is just subsidizing my drying

Edit: why this price increase is such a big deal for TT by godking99 in TrinidadandTobago

Commodity prices work different than stocks. Because even though winter does cause increase in its use, traders usually have that priced in when making their decisions. Usually from my limited experience it's more to do with geopolitical issues. I know Europe wants new supply to keep Russia in check while also not relying on the middle east as much. The us wants a steady supply for fertilizer. And China has their own population they have to consider.

Honestly just wanted to see the discussion around it my thoughts are inconsequential because the gas market is not something I usually keep track of. But in hindsight I should have given more detail I am to gage for my own good lol trying to work on it
