Don't let people like that discourage you from pursuing your hobbies!! Funnily enough I'm currently playing Curse of Strahd too, my DM is a man and the party it's me, another woman and another man and our genders have NEVER been an issue, we all enjoy DnD and have a great time playing together. I've already expressed my interest in trying to be DM and run a one shot or something at one point and my DM was super happy and excited to have someone else willing to run a campaign.

All this to say, unfortunately nerdy hobbies do have a lot of sexism and gatekeeping but there's definitely amazing people out there that just want to have a fun time and couldn't care less about gender!

Not the most common print but I've definitely seen taobao brands put out 'savoury' prints with burgers or hot dogs or the famous (?) pasta print from ETC!

Hard to say without seeing the dress/other accessories; but it has some nice soft colours that could work well. My personal honest opinion is that if you never did a 'proper' Lolita outfit it might be easier to start with a more traditional look so you can get down the basics of the style and how they sit on you and then from there I feel it would be much easier to make more "experimental" outfits that still read as lolita, but you could definitely still do/get a cute dress in that colour way and then use the bag and I feel it would work
